In my opinion, cryochrono is aimed more on pve content (earth tower and op mob cc for rank 8 mobs) on pvp/gvg plaque doctors/miko/whatever cleric that can remove or prevent cc renders a cryochrono build useless. Maybe with sage’s missile hole they are still good(?) (from what i heard from my guildies) though im also not sure since pvp is just a joke considering how terrible the class balance is.
The problem with cryochrono is it lacks the ability to kill off mobs.
In fact, it really can’t. PVE is a grind hell so you must party whenever you get the chance.
For PVP, you need to take the sage as it makes you immune to missile attacks. Missile hole is the team’s saving grace, and you will be their support. And I’ve heard you need that skill to survive in R8 content. Plus the warp skill is kinda nice too.
Wizard is not as good as it used to be, but who knows, R9 might flip some tables again and the power balance might fall back into the hands of wizards.
For now, it’s Tree of Clerics.
There are few end game spots for linker resist, but it isn’t that big deal, i found more problematic are those 2500 mdef 1.
For grinding, only Maven not so valid as Nuovo occupy majority, but that level range you can do it at workshop.
At Timerys Temple, I think only 1 monster who use dualblade is link resist which are quite minor population.
At 290 Dungeon which you will grind the most, there are only 2 area hv mages link resist, but the real problem of them is high mdef, but then it also occupy 25% of total mobs in it, the rest linker still very dominant.
Then the rest of quest maps, I complete up to Prytis Forest, roughly there is always 1 type of monster resist link for each map, but no big deal as long as you can pyro dmg on them.
So, really I think linker resist is not a big deal at least up to lv320 map
which one is the link resistant at pystis? I wanted to take my low level wiz3linker there, but if there are link resistants i focked up.
The mages in 290 are a huge pita. High mdef, hp, link resistant, and also fire element. As a pyro, save for fire pillar, even with agni, you need to passively setup your spells to kill them effectively; pyro’s cast animations have roughly the same timing(or slower) as them doing that explosion attack that knocks you around. Getting swarmed and nuked by them at staggered intervals is almost a sure ticket to the respawn point…
As such, I skip the mage monsters entirely because it’s a real pain to deal with them as a pyro linker and totally not worth the effort.
reroll to Chrono2Warlock2 and macro in DP2 lul
IMC wont give a ■■■■
HEUHEUHE
thank you, guys. I guess I’ll hold off on my chrono for now and stick with my Sorc… And hope for the best on R9.
BTW, last question… What class is easy-ish to grind but also does well in PVP? Fletcher?
Cleric pd 2 or inquisitor. cleric 2 x x x x pd 2 / cleric 2 x x x x x inquisitor.
How much MATK need to beat the wall anyway?
With the many warlock2s rolling this idea, i would encourage people to actually roll wiz3link2thauma2sage and spend their free time farming dg145 and selling JP scrolls.
They could also farm other stuff, like mats and what more they could come with in mind, but i doubt if it would be just that profitable.
And lets admit it, i have one myself, but the situation is just getting to a silly point that a nerf may be coming. Not soon, but later enough.
edit
Sorry it is link2thauma2enchanter, my bad.
edit2
Oh and i also recommend them to do this because there were times i simply couldnt do it due to non-existance of free channels that were let me gonna do so. Or i would have to fight for the grind spot and i never remember the time i said i was gonna stress that much with games so…
It could also be an evil plan of mine so i can get less warlock2s and more spot availability.
3k matk and you will do OK. 4k+ to be elememe again.
