Returnee wants to play again

Hi guys. I’m a returnee that’s planning to play ToS again. Is it too late to play again?

I’m going to be honest with you, if you quit because the game is too “grindy”, then you are going to have a hard time appreciating the game further, because all of the new contents that you didn’t know requires significant amount of time of grinding (e.g., lv 350 Gears’ Stat Reroll, Solmiki, 350 Unique Gears, etc.), which can be done through spamming lv 300 Dungeon, Saalus, farming in High Level Hunting Grounds, and Earth Tower.

TLDR, if you can’t invest time in farming silver (or probably buy and sell items), you will have a hard time getting end-game items. (much better if you have other reason to play rather than being the strongest)

It’s not too late to get geared up.

There will be a new content patch next week and a merge next month. Things will get a bit more active on these two updates. Hopefully we’ll get next scheduled contents soon such as Wizard rebalance and the new 360 weapons.

The game concept is the same as before though, you can have fun in the game and it’s always worth trying if you like it. But if what you disliked was something related to gameplay concept, it still needs improvement.

In a summary, if you liked the game before, yeah, go ahead and play, you most likely will like it better now compared to before. There might be things you dislike here and there but it will still be ok. If you heavily dislike something it most likely didn’t change yet - still it doesn’t hurt to check what you think about it now.

On gear part, do check the secret recipe market event. This is last week so you have roughly 6 days (from my time zone) to get those orange 315 weapons.

This would probably motivate you more if you have friends to grind with. (or make friends!)

Depending on servers/etc a guild would also help. Especially if you can find other new-ish/returning players around the same level range/gear range as yours.
