Hi guys. I played Tree of savior during the founder’s release thingie. Stopped playing due to the frustration and not getting into the server transfer to SEA. The TPs and stuff bought are a waste. Anyway, wanted to start playing again, this time in Telsiai, just want to ask for tips seeing as there are so much changes over the year.

What class is probably the best as my first character? In terms of farming, and investment? Any tips also as to the most efficient way of farming silver? Thanks in advance

SPR Thauma 2 Linker 2 FF 2 is good for farming, you barely use pots and can double the drops + buffing with self healing.

Or Cleric 2 > Priest 3 > Chap > Kabba 2, buffs, rev, cloning monster (too bad don’t work on treasure mobs, it should tho). Good support/solo build, also SPR build.

Or you can go with the masses (of leeches) and make yourself a Necro 3 and leave it afk at DBF or some other map with high density of monsters. But soon it will be changed the summon skills as timed, so imo the first 2 options are better.

I appreciate your concern, though I’m only going back since my roomates wants some MMORPG to play and I figured it’d be nice to check this game out again. Regarding the thing about it being P2W, I’m pretty much used to it, there’s barely any online game now that doesn’t restrict F2P players.

Thanks, and sorry for replying late. I’ve been reading around too and I heard that SR is a good farm class though it’s going to take some time and fortune to gather the gears for it too

Just gonna put my opinion on both build.

With wiz2-link2-thaum2-ff2

You Link/Hangknot/swell body/Oneshot the group (If you are fast enough because the aoe reduction on hangknot is the same duration oh is effect and you really don’t have much time but you can pull it off with jump animation cancel mostly)

Pro:(Swell body double the drop and hp of a mob)
-Good for silver farming in dung 170 / 290 (170 take more time with more RAW silver but 290 have artilium and faster silver/time)
-Good for Rare material farming (Orange 315 weapon craft resource are really expensive.)

Con
-Not the best for thing outside of farming…
-Can’t really farm 320 Hunting ground because mob break link after the first hit (Pseudo immune) or are immune.
-Farm can be slow and repetitive as you basicly spam the same combo over and over whenever it up (12-20sec)

Sr Build

Pro:
-Faster and probably better Silver/Time in dungeon farm with the good equip / upgrade (Note you still need 2 dungeon run for what 1 Link/thaum/ff does in 1 run)
-Decently strong for pretty much everything.
-Really good for hunting ground solo farming with decent strong gear.
-More brainless/less stressfull play than Wiz build perfect for long session of farming.
con:
-Use Limacon all day (Well, I don’t have one but I think that it.)
-Can be more expensive to gear to have a decent farm rate than the Wiz build one.

I see. Thanks for the detailed information. I think I’ll give both a try, like trying to level them at least. Is the wiz build not that expensive to build then?

With the wiz build and a 1 practo hammer, i’m doing decently dung 290.
For 170 you really don’t need much (expect it take something around 40Min for 600k or 900k/Hour.)

Meanwhile you can do close to 400k in 20min Or Less in dung 290 (Whiteout counting the possible artilium drop that can increase significantly your silver gain)

At worst you can just do a few more hit to kill the group of mob as long you have already group up another group when your full combo is ready your doing fine.
And because you have thaum2 and if you have a dagger you already have a decent Matk because of the bonus.Just don’t forgot that thaum scale with int / spr. (Both scale the same)
Int will give you well… More Matk
Spr will reduce the amount of Sp pot you use but with the incommin change (300 sec on buff) it not that bad but still your choice if you want more damage or a bit more sp regain.

You absolutely need JoinPenality 10(8 target) + Swell Body 10 (8 target, you see why now) and HangKnot 10 (Keep the debuff duration)
Meanwhile FF2 give you a way to kill and recover your hp and wiz2 give you the chance to keep Bloodsucking Chanel whiteout getting interrupt

Its kinda fked up that you would suggest this game to your friends. I would never make my worse enemy play ToS.

Meh I like this game myself sure i’m the end game not sure what to do other than grinding silver to better stuff and well I don’t play as much as I was when living up character.
But honestly, if you have play hours on this game… Then there a reason behind it. You mustn’t have said to yourself… I hate this game when you started otherwise you probably wouldn’t even be on this forum.

I will probably play a lot more when the sorc/necro (summon patch) come out soo I can just have fun with different sorc summon and actually do something useful…

We were originally going to play PSO2 JP, but since one of our friends can’t I had to find a different game, and I suggested ToS and they liked it, nothing wrong with trying it again anyway right lol. Also it’s not really helpful that you bash the game without any constructive criticism, instead of actually contribute to the thread.

You can easily look for 'I quit " threads and they will explain why the game is bad and that eventually you will realize they were right and you will quit again.
