Well, there is something that bugs me a lot when i have to sit down and place a bonfire to rest, i play with controller because i like to lay down on bed and play from there (not to mention that they UI mode doesn’t work to click so i already have to use the mouse sor stat level up and skills or invite party… well thanks god i have a steam controller and i can do that with the mouse pad option) but, to place a bonfire the only option is using the key numbers 1-8, no other key for that…

Even worse, we can’t move the actions from L1 XYAB to for example L2 XYAB :S they are locked, please change that :frowning:

Im using a ps3 pad here, the needed software for that (DS3 Tool) lets me freely change the buttons where ever I see fit.

I would get mad, having to be forced to use the games gamepad support only.

I can also remap all my controller buttons (even i can bind mouse and keyboard inputs on it) but feels odd having to use keyboard forcefully to light a bonfire, and to remap a full keybind just so the actions while i’m sitting can be used in other trigger instead of R1 only+XYAB, so that’s not the point

If you have spare buttons on your gamepad, use xpadder then. As you may know, the PS3 pad got this PS button the game didn’t expect, so I placed the key enter on it. I hate it when the chat disappears randomly or I forgot to close the chatwindow once more… Joy2key doesn’t work, guess its blocked by the anti cheat elements.

ps: oh well dont mind that, I see you can do that already with your stuff.

However, as long as we can bypass things freely, we shouldn’t complain. Otherwise they may block these tools as well, since doing that is way easier than getting their support working fine.

again, that’s not the point, the UI mode when fixed will allow controller users to click on clickable menus and buttons, but the light bonfire option works only with 1-8 number keys, that’s the problem, sorry if you can’t understand that, rebinding a controller is not a problem, the problem is that the only option for that action is using keyboard ONLY not even with the UI mode+click you could make it work

Yeah its ridiculous that you are forced to use the keys for that AND the UI is bugged as it is. And even tho, I’d just place the key 1 on a spare key or the right analog stick to bypass that. As long as the UI isn’t fixed, that is.

On the top, it looks like these “Where to place the bonfire?” is actually intended to be clickable, but isn’t.

Steam controller here, had the same problem… until I fixed it by moding my profile… Steam controller is awesome… never leaving my couch again…

Well you can all still use xpadder when they are spare buttons on your gamepad.

Or are there any other uses for the right analog stick?
