[Resolved] How to temporarily prevent crashes from Hook64 exploit

It is only you promise. Thats why youre giving this aura that “i hope this person will listen to all the things i dont want”. Im actually a very good person. I always listen to people like you, because it is part of my job.

it seems like you are not doing well with your job.

because now you are assuming that I’m the only one who don’t watch your fave cartoons.

all you need to do is to stop being a weeb and grow up lol.

Ok deal. Tell me your other problems now. So can finally be release from these angst that kept on building inside of you.

just focus on 1 problem at a time for now… I know it’s hard for you to not bring up your fave cartoons in topic due to your weebiness but i believe in you. you can do it!

Here we go again. Another thread became a war zone thx to Elexis.
A player who ■■■■ talks all day about game and devs and still sticks to game and forums.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
kthxbye. Muting this thread.

Look what Sorien is doing to us, hes tearing us apart! :sob:

Blasphemy!

What are you talking about? Im actually defending the game to get better. This game is blessed with people who care enough to write something about their experiences in the game. Any company will welcome criticism to their products, because it is actually the users who spend most of the time in the game. We have so many underwhelming classes that were left behind from “rework patch” because maybe there arent enough people to voice out their concern on the class. This company actually listen to their player base despite some propaganda that they dont. Thats maybe the reason why we have so many people voicing out their concern on this game.

What bad is some poser who are leeching off from a hackers exploits and telling his temporary fix is the best and the company cant find another means to have a permanent solution so Hacker like Sorien wont prosper.

He is claiming that he is fighting Sorien but at the same time unreceptive to the idea that maybe IMC have talent enough to find a cure so the game will become less exploitable than currently is.

More feedback = better gaming experience.

Woah woah woah.

Now you’re trying to find a way to subtle make a bad image out of me just because you pushed all posts up with spam?

I’ll ask you to please quote from where I am saying those stuff?

Oh wait, you can’t because I didn’t, lol.

My temporary fix is bad and it’s on this own thread about it:

Please, don’t make your own delusions of “IMC go fix ALL bugs, if anyone says that it’s impossible it means they’re saying to not fix stuff and that band aid fixes are always better”.

I already asked you to learn to code, to read articles online, to read about how bugs are classified and prioritized based on Cost, Risk, Time spent etc.

If you’re not going to read please please stop pulling strawmans and talking about stuff you don’t know.

Oh, and please, go back to reality from the alternative universe you’re living when all bugs are fixed from night to morning without any regression, with 0 cost by a single person while also keeping all side projects moving forward.

And as well, please learn to read before trying to talk about someone’s else post. Stop trying to distort people’s word.

Here’s more reading material:
https://blog.codinghorror.com/not-all-bugs-are-worth-fixing/

Now, I’ll give you a question that will make it so clear that will show if you know what you’re talking about or not.

Please answer:
What is the source of cheats, bots and exploits in ToS? Is that source bugs? Exploits? Errors in code?

If you ignore you’re automatically giving up and showing that you have 0 knowledge about programming and that your words have less than 0 weight.

Because it is the truth. There is no other reason out there. Thats why youre fighting so hard to some idea that IMC have talent enough to find permanent fix.

You want just temporary temporary temporary. Even though the game is so exploitable.

Wrong answer. Not a technical answer.

You avoided the technical question because you have 0 programming knowledge and don’t know what you’re talking about.

You’d get low points if you answered wrong but since you avoided the question which can be classified the same as ignoring:

I have no reason to answer you anymore at this point.

I’ll leave you a last question before ignoring you for good now and I’ll play my dev card.

Do you want cheap quick fixes and inefficient solutions that will stay haunting your code base forever because the more band aids you put the harder it will be to rewrite them all. Is this the type of permanent solution you want? The type that will make the game worse and worse in the long run and will make it far harder to change engine and optimize later?

Or do you want well thought and organized patches that will fix true bugs at the root and being well planned so that they won’t conflict with future changes and won’t compromise overall coding progress?

Warning, warning, warning: Detection procedures found question avoiding behaviors on the post coming below. Jump ship, jump ship, someone unleashed madness!

Asking again:

Do you want cheap quick fixes and inefficient solutions that will stay haunting your code base forever because the more band aids you put the harder it will be to rewrite them all. Is this the type of permanent solution you want? The type that will make the game worse and worse in the long run and will make it far harder to change engine and optimize later?

Or do you want well thought and organized patches that will fix true bugs at the root and being well planned so that they won’t conflict with future changes and won’t compromise overall coding progress?

So you didnt found any? WHY? You dont have talent to find these bugs? And yet youre claiming Sorien is small time.

I asked first:

Do you want cheap quick fixes and inefficient solutions that will stay haunting your code base forever because the more band aids you put the harder it will be to rewrite them all. Is this the type of permanent solution you want? The type that will make the game worse and worse in the long run and will make it far harder to change engine and optimize later?

Or do you want well thought and organized patches that will fix true bugs at the root and being well planned so that they won’t conflict with future changes and won’t compromise overall coding progress?

Another theory is that, you find them yourself but didnt reported them to IMC? To abuse them yourself? It is either one of them.

Thats the reason why youre so adamant about IMC changing into permanent fix. Because it will affect you greatly. Even though majority of players will benefit more if we can find a permanent one.

I’ll answer your question:

Yes, I find bugs myself accidentally and sometimes checking.

Along with tickets I report to GMs in-game after maintenances or discuss with other friends here from forums like @Queue when it’s something uncertain or too uncommon and the best way to report those so there’s less language barrier problems.

I answered your question. Now answer mine.

Thats only 2 and all in Saalus others are bots.

Sorien hack is more crucial and by number, he has more. So you didnt reported those crucial bugs like duplication recently and channel crashing. I was hoping to see at least more 10 crucial exploits there. You didnt found them or you ignore and didnt reported. Youre suppose to be much skillful than Sorien.
