Bug Description :
The game crashed the first time when I entered the name for my new team. After logging back in, I found my team was already named, so I need only create a character from there. Alas, whenever I clicked the “create character” button, the game closes a second later. This happens on every attempt I try to create a character during the time of testing in the above.
I have tried to run the game in different settings by editing the user.xml file located in the game/release folder. This includes disabling the effects for fxaa, glow, bloom, depth, etc; and playing the game in various resolutions–in fullscreen, borderless and windowed.
I am now validating my game files through steam to see if I have any “bad” files, so that those can be replaced. Then I will make a new attempt!
Will report further on this.
Steps to reproduce the issue :
- Log into game. See the barracks screen
- Click on “create character” button
- ???
- Crash.

UPDATE:
Validating my game and reinstalling my files worked! I can create a character now!
