I’ve noticed a weird pattern. I used to not report bots in chat. However, I’ve taken to reporting them. The weird thing is that since I’ve started reporting bots I see to be getting contacted by whisper from bots, often the same bot I just reported, within seconds. Is IMC behind this? Is this a conspiracy? Thoughts?

maybe… They whispered me before I even notice them as a bot.

When i used to play another game years ago, whisper bot already exist. It is done through packet editing. The moment your character enters the detection radius of the hacker, your information is presented in the form of packet. The hacker captures the packet, identity your character identifier, edit the header and structure of the packet to that of whisper packet with your character identifier and send the packet to the server. It acts the same as if the hacker whispered your character. (If you notice sometimes there is a bot hiding behind the teleport statue of orsha/klaipeda ch1 but doesnt seem to do anything). Not sure if it is the case here though. Of couse this is a crime.
They wisper to you no matter if you block them or not. Personally, i block them, then report them.
No, I mean they rarely ever whisper me. But I’ve been whispered to very consistently after reporting them recently. They know… the question is… how do they know? You think IMC is the bots? 
prob coincidence, scum will spam and be annoying by any means and whispering is just another tool in their soulless existence
In Varena, bots whispering is very common even if you don’t report them. When you get near them, it triggers the whisper. That is why I use the addon to report, block, and clear message bots in one click.
