Repetitive boring events + Incentive to keep creating new Steam Acc

Just make a new account, to boost the fake numbers which is what IMC wants. Half of these ‘new’ players are going to be existing players making necro alts.

Sad but I’m beginning to think you might be right here.

It feels good to have just started playing about four days ago to see an event come tomorrow that can drastically put someone ahead like that. While if I want to get in on this, I have to make another steam account? No thanks. Kind of a turn-off to be caught in limbo for an event like this. Feels bad.

Can current players get the celebration costume or are only newbies allowed to celebrate? :o

Im fine with those new events which getting more players. I just concern what would new players do after reaching end-game, after they maxed their chars to 330? They might say nothing, and find the term “dailies” and “chores”. Then get bored.

If I could suggest, we need new endgame contents. I heard the wb revamp is coming, fishing, and klai revamp. They should speed up those contents rather than releasing this lvlup events. Both veterans and newbies would enjoy new contents also.

I lol’d at this. Your crappy practo is worth nothing nowadays, because the demand for practo is low and supply count is high. You do not know how economy works at all. If people were selling all their practos for 20m+, they’d be losing money due to practo overflow in the market, 90% of it wouldn’t get sold, place it into market has a cost, and in the end we’d have over 100+ practos in market, which wouldn’t make it rare material at all.

Practo is dropping price for a lot of reasons. New players really isn’t one of them. There is simply no practonium sink in the game (practos get converted into gear which last forever because gears never truly disappear unlike silver) and high level players that already have practo gears have no longer uses for practos.

Practos supply is high because new guild raids giving practo and how easy it is now to level new characters in comparison to before combat patch.

Demand is low because those who need practo are new players (which ToS haven’t been getting much lately) or old players who make new chars (but you already get a Practo by making new char!)

Imagine no NPC or anything in game took away your silvers. Teleports, attributes, enchantments, etc didn’t cost any silver. Players would trade silvers between themselves (via market, without silver taxes) but eventually there would be so much silver in the game that items costs would increase (actually, silver value would drop) so much that silly items would cost billions. This is exactly what’s happening to Practoniums right now. There’s absolutely no practonium sink and I see no reason why a practonium wouldn’t cost 1kk or less in the near future. I sell my practos as soon as I get them, no matter if I sell cheaper than what it currently is at the market, just need to get rid of them fast. Price is dropping at about ~500k a day in my server.

On my Server Prac is still at 20-15m.

Practonium will eventually deflate at your server for the same reason but it may be happening at a slower pace because of (presumably) lower population.

If IMC doesn’t add a practonium sink, it’ll happen sooner or later.

I really don`t understand.

The previous event for new players was clearly a failure. The population doubled in the event, but 1 month later declined to the same it was previously. It clearly didn`t made people stick to the game. And IMC is doing it again. Why?

I met some new players that participate in the last event. In general they were not very satisfied with the effortless fast level up. One complained to me that he did many runs on dungeons and hasn`t killed a single monster on them, as there was not enough time, given how fast monsters were being killed. He just run around the dungeon following the others and upping like crazy doing nothing.

Not to be nostalgic, but “in my time”, when we had to do quests to level up, game was more fun. I visited all the maps on the game, did almost all the quests. Now people get to lvl 300 by doing a dozen of dungeons and having explored no map in the entire game. Then why all the maps? Let`s exclude all of them, they are only taking space.

Why the rage? From someone who recently got here and all that it does is advertise his ch on youtube you sure know how to talk. Im not saying its supposed to be 20kk+. U retarded? What im saying is, prices are dropping way too fast without adding any new content. That is the major problem. More and more people wont have anything to do in the end game content.

Probably the population. Other servers are like that too.

Ur right about that. The quests are now rewarding at all these days. And the population almost double because of the changes of the combat system. But then again, IMC couldnt keep the players

New player incentives will not attract new players. What TOS really needs is advertisement whether in Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, any website. Like what I have been always saying TOS could’ve gotten free advertisement every Steam Sale if the game is presented as an Early Access game like H1Z1 or Tree of Life. But alas, they became F2P so soon which should have been a last resort. Since IMC can’t go back to B2P, they need to think of a way to attract new players. What about creating a manga version of the TOS story? Seems like Japan really likes TOS maybe their players can help create a manga or something…

Says the person who likes his own posts and doesn’t know how game economy works.

The 15th day gives one TOS Celebration Costume. We veterans are not out of this

Well I certainly hope we can team storage those costumes so people with different gender toons can use both the male and female costumes.

They can be team storaged, 1:1 traded and put on the market.

Unfortunately this really sucks for anyone who started an account in the last few days before the event, they would have had no notice and would now have to start a new steam account to get the benefits of the event. What a shame.

It also kinda sucks for new players because they’re rushing through the content the first time to make use of their gear, and then get to endgame and realize that there isn’t really much endgame content for them to enjoy.

Most likely going to be just abused by people who know how to very quickly level their alts since multiboxing isn’t too hard to setup in this game. Run 4 accounts at a time don’t even have to worry about dungeon queue, get the bonus exp and just rush through to 317 on all 4, using Squire on main account to warp them around.

I understand it’s hard to stop multi accounts, but if that’s the case it seems easily solved by not restricting number of characters on the main account so much. For a game with so many class combinations and no usual rank reset option (only through events it seems), it really leaves you with 30 slots (minus pets) to play around with, and past the initial 4 (3 if you want a pet to ride, which you will because leaf penguin) you will have to pay for, so, for most people they would rather just make a second account. Only time you have to worry about the token is trading the pract over, and it’s not like accruing 3-4mil on that alt account is hard, especially if one of the 4 characters you made on it was a necro
