I want to ask if anyone knows how I can deactivate a bright glow effect of the game.
To be more specific, this effect only activates when NOT using low mode. If I use it, the effect is removed.
I want to not use this damn glow without using low mode, but so far, I wasn’t able to find the file that stores this option.

Settings uncheck the box of ‘FFXA’ and ‘bloom’.
Tried that many times, doesn’t make a difference. This effect only turns off/on when enabling low mode or deactivating it.

Open and edit the user.xml file in release folder as below:
Remember to set it to read-only so next time you start TOS, the client won’t change it back.
It’s been months I’ve been trying to get rid of it too, but even after altering all of the files I could, it always came back, lately there wasn’t the option “UseGlow” in the xml, I thought it would work but still the same…
Feels like only add-on developers can, since they remove it with addons such as FPS Savior and SFX Toggle.

The difference is really noticeable, and it’s even worse on a large screen.
I simply hate this option we can’t get rid of (except by playing in low mode but no thanks), it takes away all of the colors and put them in a pale state, I don’t even understand the point.
If anyone knows a way that works for sure, I’ll gladly take it…
I have addon to disable all effects. However, you cannot see skills effects also (like heal or other ground skills, including diev status effects).
Tried that, made it read only and still can’t get rid of that stupid glow without low mode.
Your addon doesn’t allow to customize what effect to remove? Because removing skill effects would be overkill.
If you choose auto setting, the game client will activate effects based on your pc power. Sadly the addon I have cant be customized what effect to turn off. So I suggest you use low mode and turn on what effects you want via user.xml
