That will just lead to spam. I’d rather see it commercialised, with character slot boosters available at a fixed price or monthly cost.
I mean you can still spam with 20 or more characters,but it’s their rule,so.
Ah would be beatiful see those intelligent posts on annoucements with just First, Second and +1, without a constructive comment, only spam.
I’ve typed replies with 3 characters and HTML code hidden to fill space lol

I don’t think it’s any good as an anti-spam tool.
Nothing prevents users from simply adding junk letters or smileys to reach the limit without actually contributing to the topic. On the other hand, it prevents short replies below 20 symbols and forces people to add all kinds of lines for nothing.
