Regarding the Repeatable Quest Exploit (Fixed)

lol implying those unused skills and classes won’t be changed in the next year

they use korea for class balance and test not international, so “testing” skills and builds of classes that aren’t even accessible yet is pointless, all those classes might be changed or balanced and you won’t know about it til months from now

Even better then, it gave the already burned out lv200 players another reason to play and have fun.

I mean, for sure they wouldn’t want to start another pointless characther in this pointless extended beta, since everything will be changed, right?

Why even create or even play a character after week 2, actually? Everything will be changed and the mass for the stress test had already left, what a pointless work!

Yeah because they would suddenly decide to drastically change 80 classes on a whim, specially when they are still working on the unreleased ones yet.

And that is the reason the experience I got serves as a benchmark if ever they would change something I would know the extent of it’s viability.

And to think that I get to test every class in less than a day, that’s a very good bargain.

Have fun picking an obvious noob trap class.

This thread has some of the worst car analogies I’ve ever seen. We’re going to a scrapyard and taking a car apart days before it’ll be scrapped to turn it into a 3-in-1 fax/printer/coffee machine, and you guys are comparing the hunk of scrap metal to a stolen Ferrari or ramming a new car on the dealer’s lot into a wall.

You know, we can scroll up and read your posts taunting and insulting people, “deal with it.” You just called them selfish again, even though more than 1% are getting useful data. Opinions aren’t facts either, even if you use bold. The rules aren’t there for you to abuse as a taunt.

Any feature is not an exploit or abuse until IMC announce that it is. So, until the announcement that stopped us from doing it, we are merely testing out features.

You’re the one operating with opinions and feeling free to engage in personal attacks on random person here, not me. There was no opinions in my messages, only objective reasoning and facts. If you fail to see them as such and want to keep trying to twist meaning of my words into something they wasn’t meant to be, have fun with that, I can’t and won’t argue with delusions. This was my last message to you… already gave you way more attention than I should have.

So you’ll ban people for testing out a bug in a beta test that’ll be wiped anyway in two days? Smart move…not.

well, at least i got to try things i wanna try in the char building, skill compatibility or so. Dun mind if mine got wipe but pls don’t perma ban just yet.

I wonder how many player will be left in the game if perma ban actually happened, lol.

That does sound temping… Let me see if I can find a house on fire, with a bunch of conveniently placed gas cans nearby.

:smiling_imp:

Maybe during the next beta…

While the ability to accept quest is, thankfully, fixed will the ability to also open up the repair shop, merchant shop, and warp from anywhere also be fixed too? Never having to leave a grinding spot and not having to find a goddess status to warp to is also unfair to legit players. Not anywhere near as bad as level 200 in 1 hour, but still an advantage.

I hope you just fixed the quest one because of how severe it was. Please don’t let the other ones stay in there. We still have too many privileges/powers on the client side.

I’m expecting banning permanently from CBT AND OBT. Keep it up IMC!
[/quote]Er, how can they ban people from OBT? Sure they can ban the account, but since everything is being wiped, the account will have nothing on it and since it’s now OPEN beta you won’t need another key, so you just make a new account…

Banning people from the OBT for something that won’t affect it at all seems like a really, really dumb.move on their part.

I hope that people who blatantly violate Terms of Service are banned, even if it’s just an annoyance to them. Testing an exploit yourself a few times is probably okay, since this is a test after all. You might even discover new exploits that should be reported in doing that.

However, using it dozens or even hundreds of times is an abuse and that’s against their Terms of Service. I don’t think the vast majority of people who do that would really be deterred from doing the same if this were to have been discovered after release. Terms are terms. Read them and follow, or be prepared to potentially face consequences.

If what one of the previous posters said is true (about the bug being reported about a month ago), then what we all witnessed here is more or less what you see in the software/hardware world. Most of the time, when people find such bugs/exploits, they generally will report it in private first, in hopes that it will be addressed. If enough time passes without any sort of indication that it’s being worked on or fixed, then they will usually bring it out to public to force them to make it top priority.

Sometimes you just have to bring it to public in order for any action to happen (take a look at Black Hat/DEF CON every year).

Better for it to get exploited and fixed in the CBT.

It was the older version of this exploit that was reported a few times privately (not that this one wasn’t reported too)

And just for your info guys, the older one wasn’t fixed. Look at the older (Dmn’s) thread if you are curious.

The game lost most of its population atm anyway. At any rate see you guys iOBT and hopefully most of the core issue is fixed.

Yesterday was fun
