According to Q&A, the dev team is in a pinch about how to display crit and evasion rates. I thought I’d help out.
In a game Diablo 2, the character window would display a bunch of statistics, like damage, accuracy, and defense.
When mouse was hovered over stat, a popup would inform player about estimate effective value against last enemy attacked.
For example, on mouse-over, accuracy stat would show hit chance against last attacked enemy, damage stat would display actual damage after applying defense and elemental resistance, and so on.
Another method of display, which I’ve seen in few games, is a generic enemy. Stat window would show estimate crit rate, or evasion rate, against an average enemy of the same level as player.
