Regarding new Monk Attributes

Honestly, is there a reason it’s taking so long to add the attributes to turn off Knockback on all their skills? Other classes already have these functions and I can’t imagine it being too difficult to add? It’s not really something that requires balance testing and I will happily accept google translate for the text.

Seriously, when are these QoL attributes being added. :confused:

More of a skill fix than anything since majority of the time in groups I can’t use any of my Monk skills aside from double punch, which is the only one that doesn’t move enemies all over the place.

I know those attributes def help in pvp but will they matter much in pve? My monk is just at circle 2 :slight_smile:

PvE is the main reason for them. Even yesterday I was asked by a party member to turn off the knockback on my skills cuz it was scattering mobs away from everyone and I had to tell them I couldn’t. Their responses were along the line of “what, really?” and “that’s dumb.” XD So only option was to just never use the skills and do less damage. ;/

Or you trying to do the handknife & deprotected zone combo?

The point is I want the attribute. I don’t like the knockdown. I don’t see what would hold up something like that.

You honestly don’t even need to use those skills outside of BossBattle. Against regular mobs they’re just annoying and do no damage, it’s pointless.

Annoying because of the knockdown, especially when Hand Knife’s often bugs mobs to where you can’t hit them for a few seconds… The debuff on Hand-Knife is great and has a huge AoE, and Palm Strike bleed is nice extra damage. The animation is fast so not much reason to not use them when CD is up other than the annoying knockdown, which is why I want those attributes. -.-

They need to fix the D SYNC because the Monks can’t do anything but guess where their target lands whenever you use Palm Strike or Hand Knife.

Monks are only good if they can land their combo aka rotation.How can a Monk continue his/her assault whenever you use Hand Knife or Palm Strike the enemy start to D SYNC and your left Double Punching or wtv nowhere near the target lol.The target is like WTF this Monk is aiming at I am not at the location hes/shes dpsing LMAO.

Beside the lack of damage and gap closer the D SYNC is killing all Monks DPS in terms of PVP.

But I also agree that they should have attributes where they can turn off their knockback.

A good example that the Op forgot to mention is if your going to ET and your at the DPS check floor which is Floor 1/6/11/16.Your stuck using only DP,1 inch and EB.

Not being able to use HK and PS is a big lose in DPS and of course you can use them but your going to push the mobs away and screw up your team.The PS strike bleed itself out damage 1 inch punch and it’s on a short CD.HF is also good to break their armor.

Monks aren’t the best DPSers but they can provide support and some DPS to the team to help.

I was about to write a huge text about how it’s not needed but I’ve grown in the forums so all I’m going to say is:
Attributes to turn ON/OFF settings of skills are always convenient and welcome, pleases every1 I guess.
Altho I don’t really understand this Sync thing you’re talking about, @Loztchild I’ve always liked those 2 skills CC because they can combo with eachother and whatnot. I’ve never had any problems doing so, would you be so kind to show me a video about this? I’m guessing it’s similar to Resurrect’s problem but I’ve never had such issue with them.

Ya it’s exactly what happens when ppl die and slide off the screen that’s “D Sync” .In PVE Monks don’t experience the D sync only in duels you see it there mostly and that’s why Monks are poor in duels beside their damage.

by “D Sync” do you perhaps mean “Desync” as in desynchronize? It’s unfortunate that player/enemy positions can get desynced, but such is the nature of the internet. No amount of korean spaghetti code in the world can remove desync, but we’d be damned if we haven’t tried.

Well Path of Exile defeated such a nemesis after countless battles so it’s possible. Wouldn’t matter as much though if I could just… remove the knockdown.

So it’s coded in pasta… Hmmm… That explains a lot.

Hopefully we’ll get these attributes soon after todaisy’s announcement. :slight_smile:
