Regarding "Intense Balancing"

Firstly, I would like to apologize for attacking you on multiple fronts, but you really aren’t giving us much choice. All we can really do, is to pressure you and hope that you will react fast enough, before all of the remaining player base is gone. I understand that you have to communicate with a Korean Dev team, which considers us to be a 2nd rate market at best, but still, that is your problem, not ours. We did our part by paying for your services.

This announcement was posted on 5th of September, 2017. Including today, it’s been 71 days since that announcement and we got squat. What irritated me to the point of creating this post was your latest end statement: “After these changes are applied, we will be preparing another patch of intense balancing”

What do you mean after these changes are applied? You haven’t even applied the previous changes? KToS has received the First Intense Class Balancing patch and the Rank 9 patch, now they are in process of getting the Second Intense Balancing patch. We are almost 3 months behind at this point and it’s frankly getting absurd.

While being at it, I would like to point out that Koreans have lower exchange rates for costumes, while ours all cost the same amount of medals.

I am giving you one more week to give us something, if not, I am leaving this game, permanently.

So this is what it feels like to be in a abusive relationship. Have to say I never thought I’d be in one. I see why people have such a hard time leaving now. You give them chance after chance thinking they won’t slap your across the face the next week only for it to happen again. Then drastic measures have to be taken… Guess it’s time to quit.

r9 comes with a lot of new quests and npc, there are a lot of translation to be done. When they are done with translation, r9 will be released. The later patches will come in 1-2 weeks because there are no translation to be done, they are just changes done to existing content. Those intense balancing patches are kTest server patches, they are posting those to keep us updated.

Now, im not defending them because translation took way too long. But yeah, all the changes will be released relatively quickly after r9 arrives.

I rather they balance their kupos in ktos before bringing r9 here. Their players are screwed because these active changes are happening to their live servers, after their reset event.

Wanna know what happens if that hits here? You can already foresee it.

We’ve always been around 3 months behind ktos though.

I wanted R9 as fast as possible, but since they’re not finished with the “Intense Class Balancing”, I hope it gets delayed to mid January or later. It would be very frustrating to waste the rank reset event to get my new builds nerfed or heavily changed in the following weeks.

And to avoid that you gotta force yourself read up on ktest changes and try to plan as much as possible. abusive relationship indeed. Just give us unlimited rank reset already

Except nothing in those rebalances are huge nerfs or even really negative changes at all? Almost every single one is generally a quality of life change.

Rather than constantly cry for resets, why not think at least a little more than 5 minutes ahead?

What pisses me off the most, is the fact that they will only bring one update per time, even though we’re 3 huge updates behind. 2~3 months just for one update and more 2~3 months watching kToS updates, wishing that we could have them.

Feels bad man.

People wouldn’t ask for rank resets if IMC didn’t treat ToS like a MOBA. I play ToS since iCBT2 and the uncertainty is always there. Planning your build is the least any player should do before making a character, but no one can foresee the changes they make to every class in the game one or two times each 6 months. Just think about all Fencers, Doppels and Fletchers that used to be good and competitive boss killers before Renewal. Now they might get kicked from WB parties because they’re not Murmnobi. I used to play Wugushi and Dragoon before Renewal and look what they’ve done to those classes. Look what they’ve done to Scout. And you say nothing in the last dev blog post was negative, you probably don’t have a Falc1Mergen. If you watch some vids showing how most of Mergen skills have no synergy with Falconer anymore, you would understand. Or not. You probably must hate Linker as IMC does, because they’re constantly nerfing it.

We still haven’t received the First Intensive Class Balancing patch, which removes the hit count from Blessing, adds a mdef buff to Pardoner’s shop, adds an active block ability to Paladins, etc. etc…

Just leave and stop posting then. You are literally toxic and of no help to anyone.

The Rank 9 update is going to have the intensive balancing they’ve previewed in the past. They bundle the updates together for us after they’ve tested it on the KR server and finished translations for them. It’s going to include the Pardoner/Paladin/Krivis/etc updates, and potentially the ones posted here (but not guaranteed).

ITT: People who do not play mobas.

I didn’t go falc mergen cause it looked stupid at the time and anyone who didn’t think circling would be changed had some serious blinders on.

Fortunately, falconers are getting resets, and yet here you are still bitching.

Yeah, right. MOBAs don’t have regular character balancing patches. They remain the same for many years until they get balanced or reworked.

Oh, so you’re fine with those changes because they didn’t affect you. I see. Well, thank god I don’t have a Falconer3 then. Oh, and players now have to predict which skills are going to be changed/nerfed in the future and stay away from those classes because it’s the player’s fault they chose to play with a build that was “obviously” going to get nerfed soon or later! Do you think Murmnobi players are stupid too because someday IMC will rework Bunshin no Jutsu?

What does it mean?
How far ahead are you able to foresee things in this game? 6 months ahead? 1 year ahead?

Man, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single post of yours that wasn’t blatantly in favor of IMC.

It’s common sense. Circling was pushing AoE defense ratio to 0, which caused an overflow/infinite loop for target hits due to AoE attack ratio not diminishing. This is why channels were crashing with combinations like Circling+Kunai. It was also broken because it just completely bypassed the entire “AoE attack ratio” mechanic as a whole.

By changing this, they not only fix the crashes, but also nerf what was blatantly OP.

The class is far from unplayable. Falconers are doing tons of damage now after the changes and aiming is as good as ever, one of the most powerful utility skills in the game.

Also, no one should be surprised if Bunshin gets nerfed. Murmnobi continues to be the highest DPS class in the game by a huge margin due to that class’s damage throughput.

Guys don’t rely on circling it’s clearly bugged and will be nerfed. You’ll regret it I’m telling you.

10 years later circling finally gets balanced.

See! Told you!

Same for bunshin, except that there’s no indication IMC will ever rebalance it.

Oh, I’m not saying Falconer is unplayable. Like I said in another thread, Support Falconer got hit pretty hard, but Battle Falconer got a nice buff. Sapper3Falc3 is stronger than ever with those changes. What bothers me is how they change the roles where each class excels.
