RE: Statement on Trade Restrictions [48 hour market delay]

This statement is absolutely ridiculous. All of these trade restrictions must be removed ASAP or the population WILL suffer.
In addition,
trades are temporarily held for 48 hours upon completion. This gives our
staff time to detect and cancel any suspicious transactions before
buyers and sellers get their goods.
This logic is just unreal. You mean to tell me that if an honest player wants to sell a crafted item or a dungeon drop, he’s looking at 2, 3, 4 days before he can get paid? You expect your paying customers to be okay with that kind of inconvenience? Who is making these decisions?

The whole of the playerbase has to suffer because of the gold sellers?
We do not
believe these restrictions can completely shut out gold sellers. Rather,
what we’re trying to do is utilize this system to make gold selling
something that isn’t worthwhile to both gold sellers and buyers.
Great, but you’re doing so at the expense of EVERYONE else. Congratulations, you’ve made the trade system slightly more inconvenient for RMT and completely screwed over the rest of us.

REMOVE ALL MARKET AND TRADE RESTRICTIONS

Allow silver to be traded, remove time limits on market functions, period. Or this game will be dead fast. Economy and player interaction is integral to the MMORPG experience.

You must be do your best to combat botting, cheating, and RMT without completely ruining the game for the rest of us!

IMC is punishing innocent and honest players for something they didn’t do.

Gold sellers win, gg.

Their 48 hour market restriction was planned to stop gold sellers from using the market, when in reality, it will only stop normal players.

No regular player is going to want to wait 2 to 3 real life days to sell a single item. Are these developers on crazy pills? Their restrictions will have the exact opposite intended effect.

I love how they’re talking about helping the economy when the economy is dead thanks to their restrictions, lol! :joy:

I don’t necessarily agree with you on all points. I do however need to get these big issues out of the way and my idea of how they can be solved.

Putting trading behind a paywall is not doing the economy good at all as much as you want to claim that, it isn’t. Give free players 30 trades a month and token users unlimited. It isn’t that hard, disable silver in trading and there you go. Putting trading under a level restriction say level 50 is FINE.

Team storage shouldn’t be behind a paywall either not to mention we get punished for trying to get equipment this way anyways as the potential gets reduced, this is fine and understandable.

The market time should be instant for getting transactions for those with tokens, whereas those without token have to wait 2 days. However give everyone the same amount of market slots or make them unlock by doing quest lines or something… One slot and having to wait 48+ Hours is just purely unfair, stupid and discouraging and don’t get me started on that 30% tax! A much more reasonable tax is 10%, you’re still removing silver but not discouraging the use of the feature.

Your STUPID idea of putting all these features like this is making the gold sellers win, they don’t care if you ban them. You’re GIVING them customers because you’re denying people a reasonable way to access necessary features. YOU are encouraging people to buy from the RMT because tokens cost around $20! Tokens give you features that are free in basically every other MMO! RMT is a problem but it wouldn’t be nearly as bad if you didn’t put a stupid pay wall on necessary features!

Literally the only reason RMT is so bad is because you’re giving them customers, they wouldn’t waste the time or resources if you weren’t giving them profit.

economy is dead? how come I can sell my trash on auction house?
cost of materials seem to be too high but then again only founders are playing and everyone focusing on maxing level before f2p opens.

You just disagreed then turned around and agreed.

These kinds of restrictions turn people off from even engaging in any form of trade or transaction through the auction house. Hence why you get crap that’s overpriced or crap that doesn’t exist there at all. This kind of limitation does not encourage transactions at all. Don’t take my post too literal.

I agree with IMC

I’m happy they are doing what they can to control the economy. I see them as a regulatory body or a central bank :stuck_out_tongue:

Love this game!

Perhaps premium token users wouldn’t have to wait for the 48 hour delay? Presumably gold sellers wouldn’t have tokens. They get banned over and over.

I don’t mind IMC doing some price controlling – it’s just this whole making people wait days to a week to receive their earnings that I think is a horrible idea and gonna drive people away.

If gold seller wouldn’t pay for premium token why would they pay for 30 day head start? It’s a small % of their profits.

The sellers are making money off the back of the game and the buyers are already spending money on the game. They’re the two groups most likely to be token users.

But the bottom line is you’re still giving the finger to all the people who aren’t doing anything wrong, and putting tons of restrictions on them that they don’t deserve

Yes I know. I don’t like the restrictions. They’re designed to sell tokens to silver buyers and sellers rather than actually stop them.
