So, since I’m trying to decide my second main character, I’m going to scout tree (love the concept of this “new” tree). I’ve thinking in some builds by just watching videos and I wanna know which build did you decided to use (I know that it’s a bit difficult to decide since we didn’t tested, but it’s just to have some ideas)… The ones I’ve chosen:

• Farmer: scout-linker-thauma-outlaw (classic build with linker-thauma but with outlaw since he has many OH and a good damage and AoE)

• Main: I didn’t decided since in my mind scout-bm-assassin-outlaw would me an amazing DPS build, with good buffs/damage/and big area, but some friends said it didn’t has a good iteration and you have to invest in at least 2 weapons…
  The other could be scout-BM-linker-corsair or scout-assassin-outlaw-linker, but this two I didn’t liked much as I liked the first one…

PvP and WB: I didn’t go PvP and my PC can’t handle all lag and stuff at WB, so…

So which build will you choose?

Assassin uses dagger not pistol. You will need to cast DGS every time after your use dagger skills from assassin. Pain in the ass. I am planning on pistol route with bm-linker-outlaw/Corsair. Corsair has a good pistol buff and good pvp potential and linker is just all around solid class.

Also I keep hearing almost all the scout tree skills sacle from offhand weapon. So my question is for a pistol focus build what is the best sword for main hand? Asio sword seems to only benefit from slash attack? Or the effect will trigger with pistol attack in DGS? Can somebody help confirm? If not, I think masino sword might be better than asio for main hand.

I know that assassin uses dagger, but in my case it would not be a problem to invest in 2 different weapons… and i don’t think it’s a pain to use DGS every time

I’m going BM-Enchanter-Linker just because I like the lightning theme

DGS has quite the animation time. You might think using it every now and then is no problem, but in fast paced situation it’ll really feel awful.

Rogue/SR/Outlaw (pistol farmer)
Rogue/Corsair/Assassin (dagger PVP)
BM/Corsair/Outlaw (pistol PVP)
Squire/Enchanter/Shinobi (filler til squire becomes useful)
Linker/Thaum/Corsair (dagger farmer)

And a spare scout for when they add more classes.

Might change the linker/thaum/corsair to something other than corsair if my burst isn’t high enough, we’ll see.

BM/Corsair/Outlaw for PVE aggro and Tank.
You can use Bloody Overdrive right after Rampage to get invencible and +50% damage boost!

This one looks really nice, I like it. But why do you say it’s a tank build?

It’s an Evasion “Tank”! You can get high evasion with Free Step and Bully. Furthermore you can decrease enemy acc with Sprinkle Sand and Agress. This way you can evade most atks and generate more aggro with Bully. It’s not true tanking but I like it–

Rouge-Assassin-Linker (def reduction debuff)
Rogue-Assassin-Corsair (patk buff and pierce damage buff)

I’m going to transform all my characters to Scout and focus on dagger builds (so I don’t have
to invest on multiple weapons). Will need to test whether linker or corsair provides more buff
to the build.

Farmer & Support:
Linker-Thauma-Assassin

Honestly, this tree has too many cool classes, it has been really hard for me to decide. I managed to categorize 2 focuses for myself: dagger and pistol.

Pistol: scout-outlaw-corsair-BM.
Dagger: scout-assassin-rogue-shinobi.

However, I don’t think I will choose 3 offensive classes in a build. I’m still considering linker, thaumaturge. May adjust a bit here and there. None of the above build is solid yet.

Then is the classic schwarzer reiter: scout-thauma-schwarzer reiter-X. If lightning hand can be used on mount, X will be enchanter. Otherwise X will be linker.

It scales with Dex. The scaling seems weaker than when it was Spr/Int though

I like it. I don’t have any experience with Re: Build yet, but I think assassin is mainly dagger, and I assume you wanna use pistol more?

Probably switch assassin out for corsair, or maybe linker if you think you have too many offensive skills and not enough support.

By the way, anyone know if corsair skills damage scale from main weapon sword or sub weapon dagger/pistol?

I’ve played Ktest and yes, all assassin skills (but the potion) uses dagger. If you want to go on with this build you will need a Dagger and a Pistol. Weapon swap works fine so no prob with that (aside the cost)
