Re:Build : Can we reset with scout as the base class?

Now I read that after the Re:Build update all our characters will be reset to its base class. i.e Archer, Cleric, Wizard, Swordman. There will also be a new scout base class with popular classes like bullet marker and linker in its class tree. My question is: will current BM and linker players be forced to reset in the archer and wizard tree respectively or also given the option to reset as a Scout? I have invested a lot in attribute points in my BM and enjoy the gameplay, do not wish to start a new character just to enjoy the fun of these scout classes again

Yes. But I don’t know how many “tree resets” we’ll get. Source: korean dev blogs.

from what i’ve read in the kToS topic : one per char

There will be a “class tree reset” event on launch. 2 per character. At least, that is what they announced for kToS.

Meaning if you play archer you will be able to switch that character to any other base class?

Yes, but it’s not just a “free reset” event. You get 2 per char. That’s it. The next day you don’t get more.

whats the point of resetting class if you cant pull out trans from your weapon when they ruin your build

They already said you can swap weapons for other weapons to keep enh/trans/gems…

then…thats actually nice :dark_sunglasses:

Is that only for legend grade? Or orange 350/380 can be exchanged too? I got 5 primus/masinios but not a single velco to enchange…

It seems to be for 350/380 oranges as well, not sure if just primus or if it includes crafted 350/380 as well

There was a later Korean devblog post a day or two after the initial wave that stated they would do 350/380 primuses. I am assuming they mean Masi/Wastrel/Asio too. But only weapons for non-Velco stuff. I think they specifically mention in the post that Velco armor would be the only allowed armor swap.

thats pretty harsh for a very huge update…
even r10 gives us like 2 weeks of daily resets

I think it’s more of a functionality thing though. They have to specially develop something that allows a base class change. I don’t really know though, it’s also possible that after they see how things go on ktest, they offer more.

Hi guys, seems like some of you already have some experiences with the re: build.

I wanna ask, how do the 4 classes per character work? Do you start off with just 1 class and continue to choose the next 3 as you level up? Do you choose all 3 at once? Is it pretty much the same idea as rank system, but instead you get to choose any class and only 3 times?

Yep, instead of choosing all 3 we get to choose the next class to have once the class level reaches the maximum, just like what we have currently.

Maximum class for the circles is 15 for base and 45 for the other 3. Do note that within each class there are skills which requires a certain job level to unlock too, which is divided into 15 and 30. Hence skills like Gevura and Tree of Sephiroth need Kabbalist to be at least job 30 to get.

Some info on the base class reset:
The reset Kupole doesn’t give reset scrolls in ktest but instantly reset the class to the other base job.

Oh this is good. Most likely this means that my rank 9 characters will also be at maximum “rank” (having 4 classes), but less skill points available. No matter, I’m sure I will just choose the class that have the least important skills on my last “rank”.

Is there a link for this?

Korean devblog posts, which should be officially translated soon according to yesterday’s patch notes.

A lot can change as well with regard to how resets will function by the time we get it, so I understand why they’re holding off on English announcements.

What happens to toons that are primed for reset already (used a reset scroll but didn’t spend the reset cards).
