You played too much DN I guess. They aren’t really “lightning-specialized” class. If you’d google the term, they are an organization that eliminates heresy. So it’s kinda fitting for the game as we protect the goddesses.

i am planning to build monk 3 right now and trying to look further because clerics are divided to magic and physical type cleric. so it pretty much locks possible classes for monk 3.
Yeah I’m guessing it’s offensive too, with Daoshi being on the support end. In wiki, it explains that it is a priest in Taoism.

Yeah, which is kinda like wut? since imo, it belongs to the Cleric class. Or maybe this is already Taoist and was just renamed and moved to the Cleric tree. Who knows.

Mergen is a figure of western/middle asian antique mythologie based on an archer.
Maybe your imagination will give u some ideas of this futures classes gameplay

inquisitor is a death and light type class (both death and light based)
expect to see some dark moves like the pentagram or something and some hly moves. and maybe a lightning move (there was one that dataminers fouynd)
Even in other threads I searched. Looks like swordsman is still cancer. Sigh. So we get a bull tamer, a wrestler, another shielder, and another ■■■■■■■ spear class as possible classes in rank 8 of swordsman.
RIP Swordsman. I wont get high hopes for Doppelsoeldner 3, Fencer 3, Dragoon 2.
Lots of copying info from Wikipedia in this post. Even though I have Wizards I’m more interested in the physical classes. But here’s some info about the possible ranks mixed with some hopes of mine.
Mergen
Based off the Turkish God of wisdom knowledge and thought. Mergen is depicted with a bow and arrow. I don’t know if they plan on relating the class to the diety. But if they do they might be the only Archer rank to have a reason to stat Spr or Int. I dunno how I’d feel about that.
Hackapell (Hakkapeliitta)
Based off the Finnish light cavalrymen who excelled in sudden and savage attacks, raiding and reconnaissance. I wasn’t excited about this class until I did some research on the orgin of the name and the tactics they used. They would attack at a full gallop, fire the first pistol at twenty paces and the second at five paces, and then draw the sword. The horse itself was used like another weapon, as it was used to trample enemy infantry. It sounds pretty fun. I’m really hoping they go the route of xbow and dagger with this and provide a mixture of ranged and melee abilities.
Murmillo
Based off the Roman Gladiators. They wore very little armor usually only a helmet boots and an armguard. Their weapons commonly a sword and shield. I’m hoping they’re a dps rank. We have Peltasta as the defensive sword and shield. Rdelero is classified as a dps but feels like offensive support. We’ve already seen that short clip of the gap closer move. So hopefully Murmillo will be a highly mobile dps sword and shield user. Maybe have something like an attribute that gives a bonus to physical attack based on a % of the physical defense of their shield. Or maybe something similar to the thaumaturge reversi but working with Str and Con rather than Int and Con.
Lancer
Based off Lances(no interesting information here). I don’t want this to happen personally. We have 3 spear based ranks for swordsman in Hoplite, Cata and Dragoon. We have Dopple and Highlander are the only 2h sword ranks and Rodelero and Pelt are the only sword and shield based ranks. Corsair is the only one based around dual wielding. Barb is completely versatile. So imo no real need for more spear based ranks.

There are 4 spear users but its not a biggie, given the amount of things that work with the default Sword/Mace.
Nope but both will be in the game. :x Both are gladiators but different ones. Retiarii is the one with the fishnet.
I think inquisition was mainly connected with Christianity so I doubt this one too… although just looking at the zealot costume I could imagine that as an inquisitor too.
Inquisitor could be easily a “fire based” cleric btw if we could burn those heretics 
Murmillio and Retiarius have different fight style historicly but that doesnt mean they have to make 2 different to fit a “gladiator class”
It’s a bit the same for Inquisitor and Zealtots even if the date and location don’t fit that class could just represent a extremist religous sectary group.

I don’t argue with that but we know for sure that Murmillo and Retiarii (that’s how it appeared in the files or something) are 2 different classes in ToS.
This is the reiarii costume and it is different from Murmillo.
For inquisitor… I dunno… we will see. X)
