Rank 8 Archer Preview (Translations)

No idea, we need more details of the skills first.

Time to hold on to magas sword and velniup these 1 hand sword with +Crit attack will definitely be in demand for this class

not sure if it has synergy with QS running shot while mounting.

But what would be the point of going hackapell anyway?

A melee, debuff, mountable, support archer?

replacement of swordsmen

As the translations said hack is really good in combinations with other things. So I think its more of a playstyle option rather than it being superior to another class.

C3 of falconer and SR and C2 of musket//cannon if you don’t already have stuff that works with it then your not going to get anything out of your shiny new class other than the new attributes or skills they give you. Whereas hack might be able to work well with something you already have in lower ranks. For now its a one class wonder that can make a valuable skill in your lower ranks shine even brighter, rather than relying on the new skills, just take a look at the threads completely removing classes like ranger now that mergen is out. (granted its nothing new but ranger c1 has a lot of value even with the meta shift.)

As far as my opinions on the other classes I think that mergen is very lazy in design and function, as it was only introduced to pair with the most played class (fletcher) and to retain the player base even further by suckering people into not rerolling ranger3 or other terrible builds by fixing them with one rank in mergen. Yea im pretty grumpy about it.

Musket C2 is actually pretty impressive for me as it changes the dynamic of your gameplay with the second circle. Not just “More damage” but now you can hit more enemies and do it on the run. (penetrating shot speed increase)

Cannoneer is meh considering that the best aspect of it is the opposite with the musketeer. The only value I see out of it is the fact that your existing skills can go to lvl 10 meaning you get crazy damage mod numbers. Recycling the magic circle destruction is neat but is an obvious copy/paste.

SRC3…maining a C2 I cannot wait for the new forward shot. The main boon to the 3rd circle IS NOT FORWARD SHOT, its the seemingly 2-3 attributes that attempt to enhance the other terrible movement skills in the tree, if these skills become even somewhat useful ill be happy.

Falcon C3…bleh, 5% chance for “repeated attacks” and “widen area of attack.” I don’t have experience with this class or handling pets so ill leave this one out.

An attribute will be added to Circling that lets it duplicate attacks within the affected area at a chance of 5% per skill level. This will be a very important skill for Archers, who tend to be weak against multiple enemies.

falconer is the linker class in archer tree

hate to admit it but this is most probably true. if anything devs can do at least decently about this game are the skill and class concepts. mergen gameplay looked like an easy way out for toddlers. doesn’t seem to have any depth in gameplay. but i still want to be using two handed bows at higher ranks which i’m worried might be completely phased out looking at the trends of new classes being added.

It’s 5% chance per level, so 25% chance.

Which is very significant.

“The ‘Circling’ skill is getting an expanding attribute that has a 5% chance of repeated attack within its area.”

I took it from tos base, it said Nothing about per level, witch of course makes a difference …let’s see how many levels it gets. Per level could be 1 or 5 who knows.

Do we have translated levels for attributes or something cuz I missed out apparently.

There’s nothing WRONG with it it’s just a shame that you look at falconer and musketeer and they did a decent job of actually making the gameplay DIFFRENT where as it just seems all they did for mergen was fix split arrow and split shot bug and put it on a new class rather than fix the the skill on the old classes. Mergen has its place and I’m happy it’s here but IMC pandering to all the Fletcher’s isn’t a coincidence I’m sure.

The Korean text

“서클링” 스킬에 레벨당 5% 확률로 범위 내 공격을 복제하는 광역화 특성이 추가됩니다.

translates literally into

“To the Circling skill will be added an attribute that, at a 5% probability per level, duplicates attacks within the affected area.”

Whether its 5% per attribute level or skill level is unfortunately ambiguous, but somehow I went with skill level in my first translation hmm… Note that the official English translation is incomplete and leaves out the 5% chance per level part.

Yea I hear ya we will have to wait to see, but I don’t disagree with you one bit. And I’m really thinking that they wouldn’t make this attribute or rather…this aspect of the skill mediocre especially given falconers reputation as a buff bot. So I doubt they won’t make it worth it to go 3 circles.

The problem with Hakkapalle is its skills will use off-hand weapon to dmg (like reiter, cannoneer), which is Sword damage . Swords are the worst weapon-type in-game. A good reason to go Hakkapalle is to use the sword bonus stats on off-hand. Though Hakkapalle preview shows some multi-hits, so it will be nice. The reason all top/good dps classes have multi-hit is because single-hit burst damage cannot exceed the 99 999 damage cap.

I think someone tested that and turns out the damage does go over 100k, just that the visual will show 99999.

Yes. Although I still can’t verify it yet since only monster journal shows damage exceeding 100k. I can’t find a vid showcasing mob HP above 100k and snipe killing it instantly.

There is ppl telling me y u choose fletcher. Boring class . U will bossing for 8 hours? U should choose some1 who can go PVP . like Scout > Cannoner.

A1>R3>F3 is useless . Haiz.

Fletcher is meant to rush (World)boss. Dungeon rush, mission rush, ET boss floor if someone is willing to bring you. The new ar2r1scoutfletch3 is popular due to scout camouflage movespeed increase (again, to increase rush efficiency). You will make more silvers by selling worldboss drops than any other action in this game, ᵇᵉˢᶦᵈᵉˢ ʳᵐᵗ ᵒᶠ ᶜᵒᵘʳˢᵉ.
