Ramblings and Questions

So, alright. Let’s shock you min-maxers with my build first! Or as far as I’ve gotten with random gaming every now and done in this game

Swordie C1, Highlander C3, Squire C1, Doppel C2 (Just reached C2, so gonna go indepth with C1 only)
Swordie -Nicked Pain barrier, Bash and Gung ho
Highlander- Maxed out Crosscut, skyliner, vertical slash and skullswing. With remaining points distributed between crown and moulinet
Squire - Repair, arrest and weapon maintain
Doppel C2 - DoV max, Hurricane and MORDAASTROOKA.

To me this setup works well.
Gung ho and DoV (and pain barrier if there’s CC on the enemy front) for yer usual buffs. Hurricane for mobbing and filler. Then the actual killer rotation
Skullswing->Crosscut -> crown -> VS -> ALL THE SKYLINERS -> Moulinet -> Refresh skullswing -> MO-MO-MO-MO-MORDSLACH SPAM. Finish the rotation with last charge in crosscut and it’s filler and AA time 'till the huge arsenal of whackomackofoehittings come off CD

I likes that rotation, does it’s job nicely and the amount of debuffs can and will help the rest of the team!
Bash I use as a herding tool because while DPS swordies are murderblenders incarnate, their swords can only reach that far and other DPS classes just got bigger aoes. Just pile the straggles into one aggored pile with bash and watch the explosions. I actually even use arrrest with its attributes against bosses as a filler
Squire’s support skills are pretty nifty when you are exploring, questing and grinding mobs faaraway from nearbiest statue. Sure I might lose something, but I don’t really care. It’s fun to repair and sharpen up your weapons while on the field.

TL;DR: My build sucks


Now the assorted ramblings and wonderings parts.

-What’s the deal with moulinet and its double damage? The tooltip says it deals double the damage when foe is under crown’s effects, so does that mean the double damage only comes when crown manages to deal the shock effect or can I benefit from the damage bonus with one another shock skill in doppel tree?

-I sometimes miss the knight skills in Ragnarok Online. I wish we could have two handed quicken…

-I am sure DoV has hard time stacking… Wait, does it even stack from attacks or at all anymore=

-MURDERSTROKE is goddamn hilarious…

-Punish, even with its quake attribute, sounds a bit… weak compared to the conditions it can be used. (even though bash is such an easy CC)

-I miss old Cartar Stroke…

I don’t really thinkg our builds really suck, DrRM. It’s just that it’s not the most min-maxed or optimal.

Sure, it’s a bad comparison place, but seeing I constintely end up in top 3 damages in dungeon bosses, I think it’s all good. (UNtill I hit the level for new dungeons, I probably hit the lowest damage dealts).
Still, with equal distribution of points between dex and strength, I seem to crit sufficiently often, crit hard and hit hard non-critted. Though at this point of event weapons, anything goes!
And this build surprisingly resilient too, considering it’s basically a glass cannon. Could be the ridiculous HP pool of swordies in general. They do need that, they can’t deal the ameizing damage at range after all.

Moulinet has a modifier to deal double dmg with any Shock debuff, including: Crown, Dragoon’s Dragon Soar (with attribute) and Zornhau. These multipliers won’t stack, however (+100% dmg only).

Doesn’t stack anymore.

Punish isn’t weak, but the biggest drawback to it is the insane amount of skill points it uses in a very skill point starved class which is Doppel. Punish has a lot of aoe atk ratio, a great area (among the best in swordy tree), and reasonable dmg with the doppel 3 attribute (damage is really weak without that attribute tho). You’re seeing Punish only as a doppel 2 so it’s understandable you judge it to be so weak. At doppel 3 it’s damage is trippled.

Thanks man for answering my most burning questions. So the punish’s C3 attribute is just THAT good. Good to know, might have to get a skill reset potion when I get to C3

And I realized why I thought DoV stacked, it is because of the event twohander’s fury. Should’ve read some patch notes…
