Ram usage before and after patch

Pc spec
xeon e3 1231 v3
Gtx 970
8gb ram

Before patch my ram usage usually goes around 4-6gb. After patch it always stays less then 4gb.

As a result some area where i don’t experience drop in fps now will suffer after patch.

Would appreciate if staff can enlighten on the ram usage. As i find the more ram it use the less fluctuation of fps i experience.

You’re making some massive guesses about how and why the game is using RAM.

More RAM usage != better FPS.

That’s not necessarily true. More RAM usage might also indicate a memory leak.

Read again. He’s not talking about more usage. He’s complaining about less usage.

I can only make assumptions. Which is why now I’m requesting for some clarification. Haha

The game is using more memory, if you are using Win10 it may be more apparently, the game client itself seem to be using less RAM, on mine it was around 1.4GB, but now it is around 800MB.
But what i noticed is that the system compacted memory module(?) in the task manager instead of stay in the usual 800MB, goes up to 2.4GB.

The game is leaking memory in other place (maybe a DLL or some instruction calling other part of the system).

Optimization is even worse than when it was on iCBT client, many effects are missing (Main Chamber candle lights don’t light anymore).

Just for reference my laptop system specs:

  • CPU: i5 2.6GHz
  • RAM: 12GB
  • GPU: GTX660M 2GB dedicated memory
  • 2x 120GB SSD
  • Windows 10 Pro 64 bits

I forgot to mention that after a time playing, windows memory management start to ask to close the game client because there is not enough memory, even tho i still have around 45% free memory.
