Hi there, i have a question regarding the RAM of my laptop
I only have 2gb RAM, but the min of ToS is 4gb to play the server
All I wanna know is can 2 gb laptop plag ToS?

If 4gb RAM is the ‘Recommended Requirement’ you still have hope.
But if it’s ‘Minimum Requirement’, then I guess you’re GG, my friend. Time to get a new one.
On second thought, I think 2GB will be able to play, but with terrible FPS and long loading time.
Well, if i can play Tos with my laptop, thats a good news then xD

It also depend on how ToS is programmed though. Some games will run memory check and it may stop you from launching by telling you don’t have enough memory, but some will ignore that and let you run anyway.

RAM is the least of your problems.
Go download Speccy and we’ll see.
Most games require a good CPU/GPU combo. Ram might lead to slower loading times but thats it really.
Plus if it’s a laptop you can always buy more ram

I think you should upgrade your RAM to 4GB or more.
Personally, I think 2GB RAM is really minimalist to play games nowadays.
All of the requirement for playig ToS is okay, but the RAM is too low

4GB RAM shouldn’t be too expensive from what I can remember.
It varies around 25$ or 30$.

good luck to ya and yess 4gb is the minimal ram needed for the latest games… now im thinking to upgrade mine to 8 or 16 uh… my wallet gonna cry 
You should definitely upgrade to 4 GB RAM at least if your laptop supports access to the RAM which may not be the case.
8 GB RAM is the most you’d ever need for anything unless you do heavy video editing and what not. RAM simply allows you do to more things at once, it does not speed up your computer in the way of being faster and powerful. So having 8 GB RAM and 128 GB RAM will be exactly the same if you’re not doing much.
Yes my problem is that I have a i5 processor, 4 gB ram and no Nvidea graphics card… it’s intel.
Then I recommend you to buy :
- R9 270X, R7 360, or R9 380 if you have more budget (AMD GPUs)
- GTX 760, GTX 750Ti, or GTX 970 if you have more budget (Nvidia GPUs)
R9 270X and GTX 760 are standards IMO. As for GTX 970, you can play modern games (The Witcher 3, GTA V, etc) in high-ultra settings.

I was just curious if 2gb RAM can play ToS wel, cause my friend can play Dota2 with 2gb RAM (the min is 4gb i guess)
And he said, there’s no error while playing Dota2 ._.

In most cases, laptop’s GPU can’t be replaced by a new one.
But there are some special cases that it can be upgraded. What’s your laptop if I must ask?
If you’re using Intel HD 4000 or below as onboard GPU, then you’re basically can’t play any of recent games.

Then it’s time for you to buy a new laptop with decent GPU.
The old ASUS model with i5, 4GB RAM, GTX 740M or GTX 720M GPU is pretty cheap.

My specs are:
CPU: i5-3570K
GPU: Geforce GTX 680Ti
RAM: 8GB
I often had FPS drops to 30 FPS and below especially in some areas with many monsters and other objects like flowers. To be fair I was recording most of the time and without it the FPS were more stable but TOS needs more resources than you might think but hopefully they will optimize it for the release version (GTA V runs smoother on my PC than TOS xD)
