Hmm. I’m not taking sides here, just saying what I think.
For better or for worse, this is pretty much a joke, or, it should be one.
Is it something of bad taste to say? Yes.
It looked like someone on the screenshot was offended? No.
Someone could be offended? Yes.
It was for some racist reason or just trying to be “edgy” (just like you said)? Most likely, just trying to be a “cool kid”.
I wouldn’t say that this can get a ban/suspension. More like, just teach the kid some manners.

I think it could, which the kid needs to understand. Maybe week ban or something. It’s not funny is another thing.
I think my words weren’t that well planned, sorry for that.
From all the other cases I saw about offenses, racism, etc., I believe most (maybe all?) didn’t get a punishment (there weren’t topics about people complaining, so, let’s assume [yeah, an assumption! Gasp] that this is the case).
So, I can’t say for sure that this can get a ban/suspension (which wouldn’t be bad).
But, if it is done, I only see good sides for it.
(I don’t know if you want, but, maybe you could mention the GMs?)
