hey i wanna know if DPK is ever going away or if it is going to stay.
also if anyone have a clear explanation on how dpk works because i’ve seen contradictory opinion about it.

It should be switching to a probability drop system in the next update.
probability drop? is that like the usual MMORPG drop?
like each monster has %chance to drop things? because i would really love that.
Yes, % drop chance, expect a general increase in most drops too.
oh damn that’s amazing, looking forward to that.
any other information on the next update?
thanks a lot.

It was interesting to find information about DPK. When I’ve read that it is shared between players on the same map, I was like WTF? O_o It should be personal DPK. I remember days in RO, when some players farmed 1 Sohee card for weeks with 0 result, while I defeat ~20 of them and get 2 cards. That is a probability system. People didn’t like it much.
Personal DPK is great in my opinion. Even if you’re unlucky and have to defeat 1000, 10000 mobs, at least you know that you are guaranteed to get item sooner or later. But devs are against it and say:
“fundamental issues of DPK”? What are those fundamental issues? I don’t understand why they against it even after reading it several times. How location of servers affects it? O_o Player defeats mobs - his/her “kill count” is sent with other info (silver, gear, ingredients, etc.) to local server. What’s the problem?
Does anyone understands and can explain to stupid me what are those “fundamental issues” of personal DPK?
what i don’t understand is how people not like probability system, it is an extremely fair system, yes you can get unlucky and never get the things you wanted but the chance of that is really low if you keep farming something consistently,
a system where it is guaranteed to get something might be cool but it would make it too easy.
I wrote an example with Sohee card in RO. How would you feel when you farm for weeks and don’t get even 1 rare item, while I come to the same map, kill 20 mobs and get 2 those rare items immediately and you have to continue to farm?
Another example is Biolab in RO. People gathered full parties, spend money (in-game) on potions, etc. Farmed, died, lost exp for months and got 0 cards. I came on another raid with them and got their card from the first killed mob. Loot was distributed evenly in party, so I got this card which they hunted for months. They were furious.
Yes, I got lucky and should love the probability drop system, but I don’t, because I know how this system hard on other players who are not so lucky.
There always be lucky people, but people consistetly farm and put effort eventualy get rewards. I have farmed weeks in RO vut never give up and get my item
i played RO for years and i know exactly what you are talking about, still crying about other peoples luck will not bring anyone anywhere, it’s a probability, we gotta deal with the chance of wasting a lot of time.
you can and you will feel furious when a never lucky moment happens to you but the system is fair, so it does not matter what you feel, the system is not rigged to benefit anyone.
compared to the current DPK system where people can steal your hardwork, probability seems fantastic
compared to your proposed DPK system probability system seems more fun, and i have been in the worst end of the RNG side in RO but you can’t complain just because you didn’t get lucky.
side note can you stop editing things after you type it, it forces me to re read everything incase you changed something. it is a little bit annoying.
That’s the point. With personal DPK system players don’t need to “deal” with it.

You don’t read? Where did you found that I proposed something? My system? I’m talking about current crap shared DPK, personal DPK system which players like more, and probability system which is going to be implemented.
Also no one complains, cries here except you, troll: "can you stop editing things after you type it, it forces me to re read everything incase you changed something. it is a little bit annoying."
Can you stop crying and complaining about function which is allowed to be used by anyone? Go complain and cry to moderators.
Anyway, it’s waste of time to talk to you.
Back to my question:
“Does anyone understands and can explain to stupid me what are those “fundamental issues” of personal DPK?”
i now know that i’m talking to a person that is trying to get me mad, which i won’t be, but also allow me to not take you seriously or to not take your words with any value at all.
i understand where you are coming from, but a personal DPK will make it predictable when the item will drop which is unfair because not all class can kill things as fast as the other.
Finally some text related to my question U_U
I don’t see your point. “not all class can kill things as fast as the other” with probability system too. It’s “unfair” too. “Slow” class will kill same, for example, 1000 mobs as “fast” class. With personal DPK it is assured that “slow” class will get rare item after killing 1000 mobs. With probability it is not.
Also devs talk about some “server location” problem. Not about some predictability of the drop.
probability system can be shared in a party fairly, a monster has a chance of dropping an item each time it is killed, but with the personal DPK system imagine a party, 5 people with different tasks, CC, damage, support etc. how does the DPK work? everyone shares the dpk? so when 1000 enemies has been killed 5 cubes just drops? it doesn’t make sense, it would be too easy, furthermore what if the drop is randomized and 1 person got all the cubes?
i really dislike talking to you, the way you are writing “Finally some text related to my question U_U” is very condescending, i would love to end this conversation with you as soon as possible, when this game first launched the people in the forum was fantastic.
i think the dpk update came after the klai update ( im probably wrong) if thats the case then expect 2+ weeks for it to come
Yeah, my feeling is the same. Too bad I’ve never seen those fantastic people, only trolls like you.
well at least we know for sure that it is coming, thanks man.
of course i’m the troll, so what do you say about the things i pointed out in my last reply about the party and the likes? are you just gonna skip it in favor of calling me names?
