Anyone know if it’s been confirmed that you can use archer class skills that don’t have a stance with the guns used by Schwarze Reiters? Tried looking for info about it but couldn’t find any. Unless I’m turning blind. D:
I believe so. As long as there are no weapon restrictions, like having to have a crossbow or bow with the skill–then it should be usable. The stances are more like buffs, so it shouldn’t have those restrictions.
You can quick-swap to your bow, it shouldn’t matter.
They said something about adding in more animations so that some skills work with other weapons.
It’s not confirmed yet what exactly was added.
@LaScoot true, but a major complaint people had was that it was incredibly tedious to swap between weapons to use a lot of the skills.
It’s redundant to have to swap weapons to cast a buff that benefits the character regardless of what weapon they’re wielding. I’m sure they’ll change it; they didn’t have animations for enough combinations yet.
There are quick swap mechanic.
aint nobody got time for that
although we can swap weapon quickly, some skill can’t use with companion, but schwarze need that companion for use him skill to be more effective.
The concept of constant swapping sounds fun and might add depth to the gameplay and skill ceiling of the game.
I don’t know why people want to make everything easier.
Or it will be an inconvenient nuisance after the 1000th time you had to switch weapons just in order to cast a spell. Especially on the class Schwarzer Reiter, where you have to be mounted on top of having guns equipped in order to cast any of your spells.
If you played as Schwarzer Reiter with a bow this would lead to the following:
- Mount
- Equip Guns
- Use gun skills
- De-Mount
- Equip Bow
- Use Bow skills
Repeat.
Also @ this thread: The name of the class is Schwarzer Reiter. Not Schwarze Reiter
I would actually play the class if it had all that dynamism. Sounds really fun to me.
Pray CBT3 reveals the answer to this.
But I’m playing Reiter anyways. I love mounted gunners.
If that is really how it is, then it does not make the game more dynamic, or add any meaningful skill.
- gameplay wise it’s not smooth; you switch to another stance to cast just one skill, before immediately switching back to your main stance
- if the buff itself is not limited to a weapon type (eg. increases crit chance ONLY for 2H bow), why is the casting type limited?
- random inventory clutter (keeping a single 2H bow just to cast that skill), keybinding clutter for stances that you don’t make use of in any meaningful fashion
You can’t justify this kind of tedium.
Q) Depending on the items that were equipped, there were some skills that I could not use. Was this purposely designed this way?
A) That’s because we had a lack of sprite patterns. (For example, the animation of “Rapid Fire” was only available with a character equipped with a crossbow and a shield.) We will try our best to fill in more animations in the next version.
Yes, they mentioned that quite some time ago.
Some people thought that there were good reasons to lock universal buff skills to certain stances.
question, can swift step (buff -no weapon restriction) be used while mounting? Im planing to go archer 3x to max it.
as a note in Indonesian 1st cbt swift step got attribute that increase crit rate 10% per lvl (max lv5) while active I dont know if it only work for normal atk or all atk tho
