So like many on the forums here I was playing around with the skill simulator I had a build for a Dragoon that involved highlander’s cross guard. But then I noticed it says in order to use it I need a two handed sword. I know you can quickswap weapons. My question is in two parts, one: does quickswapping weapons take off any buff you have on? And two: if I use crossguard will the enemy still be susceptible to piercing attacks upon swapping since it’s a debuff?
you will only lose buffs that require you to have a certain weapon type equipped (finestra, for example) if you switch to a set that doesn’t meet the requirement.
all other buffs/debuffs will remain.
I see, so for instance cross guard I would lose the defense aspect upon switching from a two handed sword back to a 2 handed spear.
Then I guess that means it’s viable since the piercing debuff on block should still remain no?
