So I want to make a damage dealing (mainly to be able to up solo) squire to be able to sell my repairs and weapon enchants, can anyone check if this build is alright? Is it needed to go Squire2/3 for selling porposes? Should I pick a different class combination? Hope to get some help. (This won’t be my main character, is really just to try out the Swordsman class a little and be able to profit from that, since the things he sells are pretty uselful for LATE game)
ok those are my advices:
- pick some skills on the first circle of every class, only kep it if theres sveral skills you really want on the next one.
- dont be a duck, they can fly, swim and walk but arent very good at any of them. dont go arpund picking random skills focus on some and spend points on them.
- if you want it to be a money making dps youll need a different build, ignore arrest andmax the others squire skills, you dont need rank 2 to make money, just remember that higher rank means better buff, squire 2 and 3 are mainly party suports not moneymakers, also take highlander 3 instead of barbarian 2, itll deal more damage and keep doble pay at level 2, only use it before the final hit.
it’s strongly recommend to take pelt1 for swash because that’s a swordies main job in dungeons.
pelt3->squire3 is a somewhat popular build for people going all in on squire because the build will basically just wind up camping swash+c-block all the time. however, that basically requires you to find a party for everything.
pelt1->highland2 gets a super spammable attack in skyliner, as well as a few cooldown skills that can be used for major damage (catar, cross cut combo, moulinet) and would be the better path if you want a more aggressive squire.
highland 3 is also solid if you’re allergic to tanking. this adds skull swing which reduces enemy defense to 0, and makes your skyliner&moulinet stronger.
if you want to sell weapon maintenance, squire 3 is ideal because the buff is 3x as strong. for repairs, however, c1 is fine.
barbarian is in a really bad place atm. its skills scale poorly, leaving you with just a couple of stuns at higher levels. which is nothing special for a swordie.
Basically, listen to this guy.
Based on the build you made there, you probably want to be more offensive, so it looks like Highlander c3 would be right for you.
this guy is me or the other one, because both of us gave different ideas regarding he getting high 3
Nobody used or wanted weapon/armor maintenance skills in parties as a squire in icbt2. They didn’t add enough stats to be worthwhile for many ranks. Was better setting up a repair shop near dungeons as far as money making goes. Btw the materials used for repair and gear maint aren’t the same. You need to carry a lot of these materials to use the skills without restocking from the squire master and they can add up weight-wise.
Max arrest its a decent skill with good attributes even if the cd is a little too long for pve it has situational use. Works on bosses, though the -defense attribute wasnt really all that noticable I guess?
Squire c1 is enough until they either allow camp/table to be setup in dungeon maps (not instances) or really buff Penalty Reduction.
