Questions: Headgear Awakening - Magic Scroll

As far as i know, we are getting the magic scroll in the cash shop.

Could anyone tell me how they work exactly? I know you can awaken your headgear but i got a few questions regarding this.

  1. Will it reduce the durability of the headgear?
  2. Can you use unlimited scroll on one headgear until you have satisfying stats?
  3. What stats and what ranges are possible?
  4. Can you wear more than one headgear? (isn´t there a lower headgear as well?)
  5. If there are lower headgears can they be awakened too?

Thanks alot in advance.

  1. NO
  2. YES
  3. Not sure
  4. 3 headgear slots
  5. Any headgears

Wow fast reply. Thanks a lot.
Just to clarify this. You can wear 3 headgears all awakened?

Yes you can. Only headgears, can’t use it on armband or class costume.

Not sure if you can awaken premium hairstyle because I never buy premium hairstyle in kTOS. If can, 4 headgears slot.

In Korea you can equip 3 hats at once in 3 slots.

The best bonuses people usually get are like

30~ physical attack
30~ magical attack

With 3 headpieces you can get close to 100.

It’s essentially like wearing an Arde Dagger in hats. It’s signifact.

I’ve seen screenshots of headgear with enchants and no potential lost from Korea.

It’s full on RNG what you get. It’s going to be the closest thing to pay to win stats from the cash shop but it will also be the only real life money sink in the game and only for the extreme min maxers.

According to a KR sheet, something like that:

Still unsure on the translation for 2 of them tho.

So wouldnt this make the game somewhat p2w?

‘Somewhat’ yes, but the advantages you get from Awakening in end-game are minor so it’s not worth raising up a storm over. The exceptions are the 2 AoE Ratio bonuses, which are still noticeably useful.

Hmm… i really dislike this tbh… i dont understand why it always have to be that stats are involved into a cash shop. Esp. since alot of people are old RO players, the playerbase is old enough to buy costumes and stuff just for the sake of looking different.

It increases sales. Publishers try to find a balance between giving advantage, but not giving ‘too’ much advantage, when they start off. Over time it may get worse to the point where they don’t care how much advantage is given.

I’d expect that point to be reached on a 3rd-party publisher, but I have faith it’ll be a looonng time before that happens here. You have little to be worried about.

That sheet got me thinking, what’s the difference between Magic Damage and Magic Amplification?

Magic Amplification sounds like something that increases maximum damage on skills, i’ve seen something similar before.

Magic Damage is supposed to be better because increases your overall damage or something like that?

So my total INT + My own level = MATK

Staves and Rods and other equipments or gems give me flat MATK, is that correct?

Yeah, I believe that’s how it works.
Every class also received 10% bonus to INT (and STR) every time they rank up.

Thank you so much for your help!

It’s always good to know stuff like that and i was kinda confused.

Not somewhat. It does. It has. It will.

One important thing to note whit Magic amp is that it applies after magic defense and if you use a multi-hit spell it will apply to every hit.

Magic amp adds a random value from 0-your max magic amp to your damage after damage calculation.

That article is kind of miss leading as magic amp is not multiplied by your base spell modifier so it’s not really like Max-Matk. (If you have 50 MHR and use a spell whit 200% ration you don’t get 100 MHR you still just get 50).

Magic Amp adds a new “max” damage as a range.

For example if you had 100 magic damage.

Amp was 20%.

Your new magic damage is 100~120.

Magic never crits in this game. Magic amp is like… kind of that? But not really.

Hi, I remember someone selling an imposing miter with 50% cooldown reduction. Does anyone know the chance for this enchant?
