Questions from a returning player 🦊

Some Backstory

If my memory has served me well, last time I regularly played this game was around October last year. I logged in a few months after for the reset event but didn’t really do anything else besides test a few Dragoon builds.

I just started playing again last weekend and experienced that “new game” feeling, but maybe because it’s been awhile and there has been a few changes.

I’m looking to focus and casually play on just one char during the weekends - a lv.335 Cleric2 Bokor3 Oracle1 Kabbal1 Zealot2 with full SPR, 315 HG gear, lv.50 attribute on core skills - and do a mix of PVE and PVP. I know, it’s not gonna be as good as when I used to regularly (or hardcore-ly) play. I have 6 other lv.330 fully resetted chars which I’m just gonna indefinitely park.

Here’s what I know I should be doing at the moment:

1.) dungeon 300 x 3, saalus x 1 —> this I can do on weekdays as it only takes 30 mins or less; didn’t really find anything worth doing Uphill for; not interested in ET/Solmiki at the moment;

2.) HG grind + Challenge Mode —> surprisingly found this to be fun even when soloing but maybe that’s because I got so used to the boring, hard swordsman life chugging pots and running around like a madman; cleric’s sustained AOE DPS and survivality has been an eye-opener;

3.) TBL when I’m able to with my sched —> I tend to play defensively as a support due to poor gear and PVE stat (full SPR) but I can still kill every now and then because of Blind Faith haha;

4.) Events/dailies —> only if I find the reward worth it;

I’m mostly just enjoying exploring the new content at the moment, and it has been fun so far. It felt like work before when I used to switch between 7 chars, all just to feed one main char.

I have a long term goal which is to prepare for the revamped GvG. I’m not aiming for an uber imba set - probably just +7/11 ok-stat purple 350 HG armor set with a +11 good-stat purple/orange 350 HG mace (trans lv.5 at the least) and my good ol’ +11 zero pot lionhead shield, - and I’ve been looking for ways to gradually and efficiently achieve this goal with the playtime limitation I have (only on weekends, 6-8 hours at most).

The Questions

My questions are (please forgive for being lazy with some of these):

1.) What’s the most efficient way to level from lv.335 to at least lv.350 with my build and current gear (315 HG set, no trans)?

2.) What’s the best bracelet and necklace for my build at lv.350?

3.) Is Sausys/Nazarene the best spots to grind (level + farm HG set) or am I missing something? What are other ways at the moment to farm silver (sans the leveling) especially when I want to buy shards when the time comes?

4.) I have 4 practoniums (sells at least 12m in my server) in my storage - what’s the best thing I can do with them? I already have most of my core skills attributed to lv.50.

5.) What are the most significant updates/changes that I should know since the reset event a few months ago? As an example, I just knew today that we can melt HG gear with crappy stats for the powder thingy.

6.) Is awakening (Alchemist) worth it now?

7.) How much HP is good enough for a Cleric in PVP these days? Is 45k enough (~70k with ein sof; I took the SP recovery attribute for Blind Faith)?

8.) Any tips and tricks for a Zealot build, specially for mine in particular?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

340 HG to roll primus gears while getting exp/silver/shards, also keep doing 300 dungeon

Hmm Frieno set for DPS probably, cheaper builds still use phada/sissel/max peta

Yes, also spots that drop 350 crafted gear mats like narvas from Neuks.

Either craft Masinios Weapons or new 350 practonium armors. If you got yourself a nice Primus 350 weapon you can ignore crafting a Masinios Weapon, same with Armors, since there’s no Practo Armor set bonus…at least for now.

Nothing that I know/can remember of, I think you were already playing when dungeons got revamped. Most patches were gachas/tp items

Not much, takes a lot of tries for a good reroll.

never touched pvp in the game except for some gvg long time ago, cant answer

My zealot is built differently :frowning:

Thanks man! I was worried that I was too behind already. Guess not much.

What’s your Zealot build by the way and how does it perform?

Pure PVE build,

Cleric 2 > Priest > Paladin 3 > Monk > Zealot 2.

I’ll scrap the monk on a reset event into Kabbalist. I forgot why I took monk, probably a misclick lol

Paladin 3 for resist elements and conviction. Conviction boosts immo and fanatic illusion

Pretty solid build. Not sure about Kabbal1 for PVE but I guess Ein Sof is more than worth it based on experience.

Good to have biskee and lostac back on forum.

Silver, EXP, Gear -> Challenge mode party every day, usually at Sausys room 9. Can sell the raid stone recipe or craft and sell. Look at your market first. In future your server will have server merge with Varena.
Saalus important for bless shard.

Farm after challenge mode -> HG340. HG340 drops card album, can sell it too. May get few bless shard from HG340. If you feel weak you could go to previous HG330 michmas temple.

Go to Gem Merchant every day and gamble few gems until you dislike silver cost. I recommend at least 5 gems a day (cost = 100k for 5 gem gamble). If you are lucky, you will get level 6 coloured gems. HG340 drop old coin, exchange for level 4, lvl5, lvl 6 gem at gem merchant. gem merchant video

Feed useless (blue) equip you dislike into gem for 300+ gem exp each to reach higher level gem faster.

You could disable the ein sof SP recover attribute for PvP in skill setting UI.
Do not use prophecy buff before damballah. Prophecy prevents zombie from exploding.
Use ein sof to recover SP after blind faith & fanatic lightning beacon.
Use zombie train bwa kayiman knockdown on mob to keep them in 1 spot -> zombify -> use damballah.

I love ein sof free SP potion function

Thanks @greyhiem!

Is CM limited in the number of times you can do it per day like dungeons or not?

Is it more worth feeding to gem than dismantle to powder?

Yes, it’s 1x every day. Special Purple-glow mob will randomly spawn on maps. Kill it to open a challenge mode portal and shout for party. You can enter the poral even if other non-party players killed the mob. If a portal is available (usually on sausys room 9), check portal timer and shout for party. Press M inside map to open mini-map, portal will be indicated by a big cross on mini-map. Portal cannot open inside hunting ground because purple-glow mob does not spawn inside HG.

Gem to powder is only useful if you have 1 great equipment piece (with multiple lines), and wish to change it to other stats. Option colour (green, blue, red, purple) + option amount does not change.
Example: 4 purple -> new 4 purple, and 1green-1red --> new 1green-1red.

I recommend using powder on blue and purple armour equip (only white powder needed).
Orange equip need red powder + white powder. Only recommend using red powder for orange weapons.

Check your market to see powder price, it might be worth to sell. If not worth, use for gem. You will use gem for yourself.
