Questions about Squire C3

I’m trying to get some answers for a few things, and everything I’ve seen online is contradictory, so I’d love to hear people’s opinions.

1. Repair vs. Weapon Maint vs. Armor Maint.
Which of these is useful? I’ve seen people say repair is the only useful one and others say it’s now useless.
I’ve seen people say weapon maintenance is useless and others say it is the squire’s biggest money-maker.
I’ve seen people say armor maintenance is useless and others say they buy it all the time.
So which is useful and which is best for making money?

2. Base Camp and Refreshment Table.
Are these useful? I’ve seen people say that at max level with certain attributes, these are both great so you can only max 1 of the 3 repair/maintenance skills.
Others say they’re completely useless so max 2 of the 3 repair/maintenance skills.

Any thoughts/experience are appreciated.

  1. All are good, so you gotta decide for yourself, Repair is used more often but has more comeptition for spots/pricing.
Weapon maint is good and also may seem some heavy usage.
Armor Maint is so rare to see that i didn’t ever seen the shop till this reset event started.

  2. Base Camp AND Refreshment Table are amazing skills.

Base camp makes a return spot for your party that you can teleport to at any time or when dying. Also buffs cast inside the camp area have 200% increased duration at lv10.Can only be used on open field(?)

Refreshment can only be used next to Base Camp and gives you 6 recipes:
These are Recipes and stats for Skill Lv10

Keep in mind the buffs persist when changing map and get bonus duration from Base Camp.

Repair and Wep Maintenance are useful, however, neither of them make amazing amounts of silver.

You may be able to earn ~300k silver a day if you’re lucky. There are days I don’t even get 100k tho.

Armor maintenance is totally useless. Not worth a single skill point until that skill is completely revamped.

Base camp is nice for warping to field for free. For me I like to set base camp outside dungeon entrance so all my characters can teleport there for free (I usually do the 3 dungeon runs with ~4 alt characters a day). It’s also good to setup on grinding spots.

Refreshment table is okay, but quite expensive for the buffs it gives. You can get a very quick hp regen by using the hp regen food + aukuras scroll, but that’s not really so great since Aukuras has 120 sec cooldown.

If you’re making a squire for “making money”, focus on wep maint / repair. If you intend to play with your squire as main character, or if you really care about table buff for other characters, get the refresment table.

Thank you for the replies! I’m not expecting to make bank from squire, but a trickling income will be nice.

Are base camp and table worth investing a couple levels in? Or necessary to max them? Shadow, it sounds like you only use base camp for its utility, so only 1 level?

What about Arrest and Deadly Combo? Deadly Combo doesn’t seem too great, and Arrest seems like it has only some situational uses.

imo most merchant classes don’t earn much as we have wayyy too many players making them. A big pool of merchants fighting over that small pool of consumers. They should really redesign how merchant classes work in terms of learning skills. Eg. picking weapon maintenance will lock our armor maintenance. so each merchant mainly specialise in 1 field.

Arrest used to work on bosses, not sure how it is now. One of the few (if not the only?) crowd control skills to actually disable bosses.

The problem with Arrest is the fact you need a considerable amount of skill points into it if you plan to use it against a big mob (i.e swash buckling -> arrest) and it has a rather large cooldown.

If I remember right, buffs duration are increased by 20% per level of Base Camp, so if you want to use it to increase buff durations, you need to max it. The duration of the camp itself is only 1.5 hours at level 1, so if you use it as an alt character it might be bothersome as well.

The new % damage for deadly combo isn’t bad (considering it has 2 overheats and only 13 sec cooldown). But it really depends on what your class setup is, if you are picking Lancer after Squire3, remember you can’t use Arrest or Deadly Combo while mounted. If you have Barbarian 1 in your build it combos nicely with Cleave since both skills have similar short cooldown.

always max base camp and table

it is the main reason to have a squire in your lodge

u can’t have more than 1 shop a times

no point to max both repair and weanpon maint, just max one of it

I was thinking of going murmillo, so I figured I won’t need deadly combo? Looks like I’ll be maxing table and camp.

How many def and mdef does armor maintenance give now?
Does it work on top, bottom and shield? According to https://tos.neet.tv/skills/10702 it will give like 160 armor per equip part, which results in almost 500def bonus. As for me, it is pretty much.
Can please some advice me a fastest levelling build for swordie? I have never played this class. Have a chrono3 as support with me.

I didn’t understand how works buffs on Base Camp…
Increase level of Base Camp increase time of buffs?
Because the skills say:“Duration of the food effects is at least 30 minutes” each level.
So I think it increase only 30 mins even if you max it.

That’s the food itself from the refreshment table without the base camp lvl 10 200-220% boost applied. Base camp extends as well buff duration, potion duration, glass mole effect duration etc.

Just use buffs near the camp(I guess you need to be in party). And they will last longer.

Yes, but the Skill description isn’t clear xD
I have to try it! Thank you <3

If you use,for example Pain Barrier (lv1 15 secs), next to a lv10 Base Camp(you get a base camp icon on your lower buff bar to indicate this) your Pain Barrier lv1 will last 45 secs.

This can be stupidly powerful with SR3 for field farming, people aren’t just extreme enough to pull it off.

Thanks! But I didn’t understand why Level up Base? °°

The Bonus duration for buffs is increased with base camp level (20% per level of base camp). That includes Food Buffs.

You also can open your Personal Storage on Base Camp

PSA: You can also multiply duration of Pardoner Shop Buffs,as long as the Base Camp is inside the Shop range. (If Squires really wanted they could overthrow the economy compeltely)

The food attributes 30 mins increase only affect squire, not party. If you have left over fortune cookies or red ox, you get 2hours buff timer and 30mins for unlimited stamina monk spam. Its best to get a cleric c2 with divine monk, all your food buffs and duration get another godly lvl up.

Previously it is used for unlimited lycan form, with lv 11 yogurt, and cat buffs. You get ard 1 secs sp regen

There used to be a bug 5 months ago, i just came back not long ago.

Before you use your buffs, make sure you have refreshment buff on you, sometimes even if you stand right on top of your base camp, you still do not get the base camp buffs.

just don’t make your camp near other camp

base camp buff radius seem buggy when it overlap each other

always check your buff before take buff that u want to multiply time (pardon buff, food, potion)

what about the stats, does INT still influences anything at all in squire skills?
