Questions about Exp, Accounts and more

Hello! super excited about the game. I will admit I don’t know where to find info. So going to post some general questions.

Exp. Is the game very slow on leveling? Mainly curious how long it takes to unlock Pardoner for Cleric.

Account Storage. Is there anything like this? where I could store buff scrolls I make for other characters? or weapons/armor/potions?

Are there any low level dungeons groups of friends can do for xp? or is it only for high levels?

Outfit. Your displayed outfit/armor is that dependent on your class and cannot be changed?

Up to Lv100/Laterank4 is pretty fast, shouldn’t take you more than a week in casual play.

They are working on this for when you have the Token bonus, it’s like a suscription but you can also buy it off the auction house so it’s easy to get overall.

It’s fairly well balanced overall, and if an area is unbalances they ad a fix to that at some point.

By default you have the base class outfit and when you get a new class you get their outfit (an actual equipment) a can put it on or not, whoever you feel about it.

Leveling is quite fast currently, as you have quests, dailies and dungeons up till around 200. After which you’ll only have 2 dungeons, dailies and barely any quests. It’s pretty slow on the way to 280.

There is no account storage, however it seems like they’ll be adding some way of sharing stuff between characters for subbed players soon.

Yes dungeons start as low as level 50.

Outfits depend on what classes you pick up, you can freely change between any costumes you’ve obtained, as well as cash shop ones.

Neat thank you both!! okay I will start just doing my builds to rank 4 and stop there. So glad about the outfits!!! cause there are some classes I like the skills of, but not the outfit. Even more excited about the game now~

Oh shoot I forgot to ask! it says the pardoner crafts scrolls… do you have to buy blank scrolls first? Also for Dievdirby class they carve wooden statues. Do you have to buy and carry wood around?

Yeah you have to carry components around. There is a special attribute that can be trained for all classes that have components that lets them carry more weight. It shouldn’t be a bother inventory is limited only by weight.

You seem like you’re looking ahead and trying to figure out a build. If you’re coming up with it yourself you’ill probably have questions. This thing helps answer a lot of technical questions if you have them: https://github.com/vyne1/tos-mechanics/blob/master/ToS%20Mechanics.pdf but ask away… We’re all bored and have nothing better to do anyway.

Thank you! and that changes my whole idea… I am never good at making money in games. I am already going to figure scrolls will not be cheap. Yes I am doing my own build. Going full on support/heals/buffs. Which I know will hurt my leveling when I am not in a team.

Thanks for the pdf thingy!

Alchemists are known to make decent money with a skilled called roasting and crafting potions. And Squires with weapon repair and enhance weapon to a lesser extent. I’ve not heard anyone comment on how well paradoners make money.

Another very good way to make money is with the attribute http://www.tosbase.com/database/attributes/411004/ for the Oracle skill: http://www.tosbase.com/database/skills/41003/ it gives you up to a 2.5% chance when using the skill to create a jackpot mob… Which is a mob glowing white that drops a gillion times more silver (x250 if I remember the multiplier correctly). So even if you don’t want to do crafting you can make some money that way.

Ahh thanks! I had planned on aiming for Oracle. but it’s rank 6 job and it appears rank 6 takes a very very long time to unlock. So was setting my sights on early game. I actually hoped the scrolls were free so I could just give people free buffs =p

Yes that’s true.

But then again, 2,5% on a high cd skill.

And we are talking about 500 silver*250=125k silver~
For an mob in that level range, if they havent change silver drops too much.

If they set it higher… it would be really mindbreakign op… the % chance i mean.
