Questions about cleric. Healing>Dps

I’m not well informed on clerics class. So, i’m asking around about more experienced opinions.

I’m looking for a build to be primarily a Support/Healer, but also able to give decent dps for leveling solo on ealry levels.
There is any post where can I have a direction about class and stats distribution?

It depends what route you want to go.

There’s the Melee Route > Monk

An the Magic damage route > Plague Doctor

Monk is generally considered a really viable support DPS. That has respectable damage while being able to support a team as a healer & with buffs.

There are also magic based alternatives. But I can’t speak to those as I haven’t any experience with them.

Cleric DPS is weird in this game.
Other than the obvious melee route, as magic damage route… You DPS with your Heal and Cure, and can shoot lightning with Krivis.
Support/Healer with decent dps for leveling solo is… strangely… almost every cleric class…
So at that point it’s more of your playstyle.
i.e. There’s a way to get decent DPS with any of the earlier classes. Just have to think where do you want to go at the end.

A fast explanation:

With Priest 1 = Buffs (help party and solo leveling).
With Cleric 2 = Better Area of Heal and better shield.

you can do > c > p> c2 > p2 and so focus on what you want.

(I did cl > priest (to have solo advantage) > diev > diev 2) for personal reasons.
but I also tested cleric 2 too, and as a healer is really better as support instead diev, the heal area is bigger, as still have small offensive buffs and a shield who help on fights against bosses.

Leaning more on the Magic side mostly to have less atributes to worry about.

Got a question about the “solo advantage” off priest on top of krivis tho…
Priest may have some good damage buffs, but krivis can pull aggo away and has a skill to hit flying enemies.
Are the damage buffs worth that much?
Also, my “opinion” about ressurection is if i’m the healler i’m not supposed to let my team die. So if i’m doing a good job ressurection feels useless…

I dont know about Krivis (never tested).

People will die, not because you are not good, but they will try to get heal on the last moment, being always in the front line, so became trapped and then die, sometimes close to where you are, but in dungeons for example, they can resurrect for thenselfs. You can’t be worried about that, players just forgot to stop attack and go heal, even because you need to heal outside the monsters attacking, because if not, the heal will attack monster and will disapear, without heal your friends, (unless you buy the skill to make heal neutral to the monsters so you can throw heal in the middle of monster to help the player with low health), but heal help leveling so people wait before buy that, so the others need to have conscious too.

Priest give you a very good advantage buff on basic punchs and also on magic attacs on the beggining, for example, when you use heal with blessing on a monster, the heal will make even more damage. But I agree you may not use ressuct to much.
The problem with priest is that you always need to do blessing everytime, but that is why is better to play alone, since skills have cadence time to use again, the basic better punchs make you save lots of time. You can be a healer without priest, just grid sometimes and offer heal. The levels 43 to 46 are the worsty for clerics, because without grid or exp cards will be very slow solo, so always try to grid.

  1. tl;dr Krivis should be better at soloing at low levels than priest.
    Damage buffs are worth it - to a varying extent. It’s not a must have - but it’s important for leveling the Priest himself and it helps a full party. ‘Help’ may not be ‘crucial’ but that’s the point of all cleric classes right? Support The question is how do you want to play - supporting your team? Doing your own stuff? When you’re a lone priest in dungeons, you can get pretty busy and end up ignoring whacking the mobs and making sure your party stays alive and buffed. The point of priest buffing is - help your team kill the enemy before they kill your party. As a Krivis, most likely you’ll have an easier time soloing and leveling your character up. Your support is likely based on your Cleric2 skillset or magic DPS plus some Zalciai and Daino. Their support is more limited than Priest, but how they support is pretty obvious. Clerics in ToS, other than Priest and Monk, have a lot of less conventional types of support - which is great.

  2. tl;dr people die. heal with it.
    As @kazamatenkai said, people will die (I’m so tempted to add Shiro’s ‘people will die when they are killed’). Healing in ToS is not a lone work.
    Case 1: Cast heal tiles on them, but they only get 4 of the heal tiles. They keep screaming ‘heal me! heal me!’ with like 6 freaking heal tiles around them.
    Case 2: Cast heal times away from boss. You get exactly the situation @kazamatenkai mentioned. They don’t grab the heals and chill there, possibly screaming ‘heal me heal me’ too
    Case 3: You’re a priest and you want to mass heal. Too bad! All 4 members of the party ran off in 4 directions. Your swordsman attacks it head on. Your archer tries to circle around the mob shooting at it. Your wizard stays at the edge of the screen shooting magic. You try to position yourself, only got to cover 2 out of 4. gg.

Heal cooldown is a b* and no matter how well you do, there’ll be some damage done, be it sudden physical aoe or magic aoe, that didn’t get blocked, that might chop off a chunk of hp from your party, and 1 guy took all the heal tiles and the other 3 have like 20% hp, and boom, another aoe dropped. That’s how important Revive is - it gives you one chance if either you or your party made a blunder. Resurrection? You might keep getting interrupted because most likely your party is dead on an unsafe spot, and if more than one die, they may not be on the same spot. Even with safety wall, I think skills can still get interrupted - at least the quest item gathering can get interrupted usually.
