Question regarding the alchemist paths

So from what I have gathered, the mian alch builds are

Pyro 3 > Linker 1
Cryo 3 > Linker 1
Psycho 3 > ?
some add sorc on end.

So, I am gonna make an alch as my first or second character, being new to the game though, I don’t know the classes and roles all that well.

Of those above paths, or very similar, what would have enough party utility to not feel like baggage in a queue, but still be able to solo at least “ok”?

gonna bump this, I was thinking of going pycho 3, what would pair well with that as a single circle?

I wasn't able to find a guide about it, or one that is recent, the one i found was last posted on march (or so i think, and it was more like a 'asking Help Topic', I read it all). So, as someone who likes all these things with alchemists (I was thinking of making as my first char, but decided on going the cleric way first).
