Question regarding leveling now

With the current content that we have right now in itos, is it possible to reach max level now with just questing?

no, this is tree of grind, not tree of max level foc

I doubt it… I’ll give you 270+ including the use of lvl 11 cards

Pretty close, but you will need to spend a little time grinding if you’re in a hurry. If not, then yes, you can completely do it w/o grinding, but that depends on what you consider a grind.

Some levels have “quest gaps”, which means, you’ll run out of quests if you just quest and not grind at all.

  • Around lv 170, you’ll run out of quests if you don’t grind in Demon Prison between lvls 145~160

  • At lvl 190, you will run out of quests if you don’t do the 190 dungeon.

  • At (around) lvl 210, you might get stuck if you don’t grind in alemeth.

  • Later in the game (lvl 260+), you will run out of quests and be forced to grind in Maven / Storage.

  • Lv 11 exp cards are very little exp for levels 270+. You will be forced to do Maven at some point if you intend to get 280.

  • I made a character which completely skipped evac and storage grinds just by doing quests. I managed to have to grind only in Demon Prison, Alemeth and Maven.

  • Remember team level plays a huge role in leveling, it’s really hard to measure “if you have to grind or not” because it will vary from one account to another.

Also not a bad idea to save a few cards with rank 8 coming out. I recommend Xan’s leveling guide floating about this section of the forums. He can show you how to bypass a bit of grind.

Just remember, better to save those cards for real gap closures. I think if you’re 10 levels under a map, then it’s alright to pop them. I’m doing a char now that’s 228. I plan to just grind as much as possible, and save those cards to either get to or at least get as close as possible to 280 near the end when experience takes longer to gain.

It also depends how “active” you are. And of course, how active on that particular character. There is a gap to cover? Then make alts while only doing missions and dungeons with the higher character for a week or so. That also assumes you always do missions/dungeons before any questing, which may be the only things you are able to do on a busy day.
I reached Evac while only previously grinding in Demon Prison. Decided to card over Alemeth after one frustration session cause the retarded channelhopping did not suit me.

thing is I’ve made a bunch of characters, and now with over 1k playing time. but never had a max char, my highest right now is at 248. :joy:

so I was just thinking if it was possible now to do it with quests to lessen, well the struggle. but if grinding is still the way, I’d rather save the exp cards to get at least a little exp jump on the way to Rank 8.

thanks a bunch for all the responses.
