Question on Monk Build

I looked through some guides and videos and decided to go with the Monk path.

Cleric > Priest 1 > Priest 2 > Priest 3 > Monk 1 > Monk 2

3:1 dex:str

So my question is, should i go with Priest C3? or is there a better option?
Since there is no stat reset option right now, should I go for 3:1 dex:str build? I checked some videos and it seems like a pretty good choice but leveling can be painful… Or maybe 2:1 dex:str build? I also heard as long as I reach 100 crit rate I should stop adding dex, can someone validate this?

priest3/monk2+ is a fine build, and it’s probably the sturdiest monk variant.
And it’s not that bad to lvl due to blessing & sacrament.

In terms of dex, the 100 crit rate is bogus. We don’t even know the precise formula atm but it does scale down with player level.

And you’ll want some con as a cleric just incase. (around 50 at 200 ish.)

Otherwise pick str/dex or full str as you like.

Crit rate is not a %, it is a value that is compared against an enemies crit resistance.

c1p3m2 is a pretty standard monk build so you can’t go wrong with that.

I am not a fan of dex heavy monk builds. I think your main damage stat should be STR with a portion of dex for the occasional crit. Since STR influences crit damage you don’t want to skimp on it.

How about a Cleric2->Priest2 build? Whats the difference from a Cleric->Priest3 build? (All going for Monk3)

Priest 3 gets stone skin, so it can prevent a good amount of physical dmg.
But cleric2/priest2 has more flexible and reliable healing. And it still gets revive/res and levels quite easy if you take priest2 asap.

You may want to go priest 2 right away and then dip back into cleric2 at rank 4, as this will enable faster leveling overall.

That is, if you decide to go c2p2

hmm, I already pumped DEX to 60 at lvl 52.
In that case would you suggest 2:1 or 3:1 STR:DEX or reversed meaning DEX:STR?

I really can’t comment to much on dex ratio’s till we find out how it scales with level now, or what amount would be sufficient at 280 to get a decent rate.

You’re going to have to wing it, or ask someone who tried it recently.

Thanks, I think i’ll finalize with 1:1 STR/DEX. Can’t go wrong with half and half and some to CON.
