I’m new in the game and want to make a Monk, i’m doing my build, however only one thing I could not understand yet.
In the builds I see , all pass through Class Diev and do not know coz … Since all skills are a kind of " totem " , I am unable to view this class being used in monk .
Can you help me understand 'cause this class is so important to build the monk ?

I’m no diev expert but based from numerous discussions here in the forums.
Dievs are both buffers and debuffers. I am certain other class benefit from their skills, especially the skill cooldown statue.
World tree also prevents all non-boss mobs from attacking.
I went Cleric C2 -> Diev -> Pally -> Monk (STR/DEX)
My feedback from the diev skills (C1):
Vakarine is useless. Just buy klaipedia warp scrolls.
I only use Zemyna before sitting near bonfire to regen sp slightly faster (but it’s completely neglectable). The statue combos somewhat nicely with restoration +50 SP regen attribute from pally but not nicely enough. I think while moving and fighting the SP regen is every 15 or 17 seconds with the statue in comparison to 20 or 22 secs without it (it’s not a big deal during battle, it’s only around 25% faster regen). But while sitting it goes from 10 sec per SP regen tick to 5 sec so it’s a 50% improvement (it makes a noticeable difference, but then again, doesn’t matter THAT much if you sit for 8 seconds or 16 seconds)
I’m too lazy to use Laima statue. It’s not a game breaker statue and having to recast it everytime your party moves around is annoying (esp. because nobody cares about being inside the statue or not). Sometimes I use it on bosses and in dungeon runs but, tbh it’s not that great in my opinion. Some people will say “oh but it’s great in a party with other players with 60+ sec skills” but hell, if you want to go monk, you’re not really focusing that much on being a support. Screw them.
Carve attack is really meh… The damage is high indeed, but it’s completely single target and the hit area is sooooo small that you’ll miss anything that moves a bit even the slightest. It’s only really usefull against bosses (for their obvious big hitbox). Deprotected zone + carve attack hurts really bad (because the def gets reduced by each hit), but then again, your target needs to be static inside deprotected zone and static so you can hit carve attack so it’s really situational.
As a monk, it’s nice to have other physical dmg skills other than double punch so you don’t get your stamina drained absurdly fast. But my rotation focuses mostly on smite + double punch than using carve attack.
Looking back at it now, taking diev c1 was just as useful as picking Krivis c1 only for daino buff or Cleric C3 only for more heal tiles. Picking priest c1 would help a lot leveling early levels (from blessing buff + attributes and sacrament bought from pardoners in town) but it would scale worse later in the game (eventually becoming less and less useful).
