How does the system work when 40 people are attacking a high level World boss like in Maosoleum?

Isnt it a bit unfair that the party with the most damage gets the kill and item drop, while other players are just tanking or healing? their roles are also important but it seems like the system only rewards the highest damage. Maybe it should be an algorithm or something that calculates which party participated the most in killing the boss, not only defined by damage, but also for healing amount and damage taken.

My friend went full tank and i played sadhu/krivis neither of us has ever missed getting a drop.

The only prerequisite for getting a drop seems to be that you’re at the very least within its level range.

The first field boss I fought didn’t drop anything as a level 69 (Temple Shooter was more than 5 levels higher)
The second time (and all fights after that) I fought Temple Shooter again when I was at his level/higher than him, he always dropped a cube.

Good to know, i didnt get any drop when i was more than 5 levels below, and have never since fought him.

I have heard speculation of parties getting loot priority over solo players but im not sure about this as i never encountered a boss without a group.

Who knows it would be nice if a GM would comment on this. Cause its not clear. And you would think it would be. lol

i didnt get a drop in 2nd demon prison field boss tht day solo. Not even a cube. I’m at lvl161 but not sure bout the boss lvl tho. The party members got theirs.

This is not entirely true. I fought Temple Shooter (Level 76) along with many other players when I was probably around level 70-80 and did not get a cube. And I killed Abomination (level 56) alone when I was around level 44 and did get a cube.
