How long is the default time though?
And would you see it possible to actually use it?
I think it was 5 seconds default time. So with the attribute you have 8 seconds of staggering duration.
I’ve seen people using it, it’s clearly possible, if you are quick.
If you still can’t, though, you can simply rotate between Cross Guard and Lunge, which has Overheat, for constant Pierce vulnerability, even without stacking damage.
That kind of gives me new ideas for my build.
Two new ideas would be:
swordie - pelta - high - hoplite 3 - dragoon
swordie - pelta - high - hoplite 3 - doppel
With dragoon being more straight up damage and doppel still needing the stacks of dov but +50% damage isn’t something to sniff at… if not for the fact that dragoon provides more pierce attacks and with crossguard/lunge combo the damage would go far more then +50% from doppel.

You actually can take both Dragoon and Doppel without Highlander, or go more into specialization, but if you really want to go with this path…
- Why no points is Swordsman, again?
- What’s wrong with Peltasta? Why aren’t you putting points, again?
- If you go for PvE, drop Wagon. Or one point only.
- You can probably go with Wagon - 1, Cartar - 5, Crown - 4 and Cross Guard - 5. I completely advise against only 1C of High, though.
- If you don’t go for PvP, again, drop Long Stride. Better allocation would be Stabbing 14, Pierce 10, ST 5 and Lunge 1, with Finestra 15.
- Dragoon is fine. For PvE, that is.
I don’t always spend points, but obviously I will on my actual build xD
Damn, now I need to make sure about that cross guard if it lasts 8 seconds with the attribute. Even if it’s 6 it would be good enough.
I wouldn’t go further then 1 rank of high, definitely wouldn’t. It’s just for the crossguard bonus there. I kind of like the idea, and it makes more sense to me then doppler right now + my build would be better for tanking.
I will be pvping so I will most likely swap soar for gae, I didn’t pay much attention to dragoon skills I was mostly interested in highlander skills there.
Do you think dragoon with crossguard / spear lunge will be as good as I think it might be or it will fall off to the doppel 2 build I showed you?
As to how an actual build would look, well it would be something like this I guess then with highlander firmly in place now.

Sword - High3 - Hop2 - Dragoon, specifically for what you want, but without Doppel. I’m taking EXACTLY this build as my main build for OBT.
High is completely useless without C3, though. You see, you must exploit the potential to it’s fullest, not just for one skill.
If you want gae with Dragoon, I suggest dropping High and Hop and go for Cata, which is much better choice for this.
Your skill allocations on Doppel… honestly, they were lacking. Like a lot. With the right points it all falls down to your personal preference. Spear or Sword. Or… both with the build above, because High uses exactly that.

Right, but then you won’t be able to do High very good, since it WILL fall hard on later levels.
I understand, you want the best from both worlds, but… you basically have to choose.

Can I get your thoughts on my planned build? I’m leaning towards a pure dps pve build as my main,if I want to go pvp I might make a second char. Tbh I don’t like Hop and Cata skills that’s why I’m looking at Highlander and Barb.

Dual Wield : Swordsman - High - High - Barb - Corsair - Fencer - Fencer
2H Sword : Swordsman - High - High - High - Barb - Doppel - Doppel
What. Why would you take Dragoon at the end and not at least DoppelC1? You realize Dragoon is a Spear class, right? You can use Spears with High and Barb skills, but this has little no no synergy at all.
Hoplite and Cata benefit Dragoon’s choice much more.

Don’t even consider this, BarbC1 and CorsairC1 are incredibly useless in PvE. Corsair is C2 wonder and Barb needs to be maxed, otherwise he falls off.

Much better, but Barb contributes absolutely nothing with that C1, again.
Cause I like dragoon lol. But yeah I knew it was something like that. Guess I’ll skip dragoon since I really don’t like Hop and Cata skills.
Can you explain why Barb needs to max? What benefits would I gain from it?
Maybe I’ll go for the 2h sword build. 'Cause its gonna be a problem if barb is only beneficial if maxed if I go for dual wielding. How bout : Sword - High - High - High - Corsair - Corsair - Fencer for dual wield
Because you gain Seism, Frenzy, War Cry, which together give you a crapload of flat damage.
It’s what Barb is famous for, so taking it on C1 is gimping Barb pretty badly.
Consider High2 - Corsair2 - Fencer2. Or High3 - Corsair3.
That’s what I thought after reading the skills. And it goes well with doppel right? But it’s too mainstream for me. I really wanted the Dragoon.
Problem with the first option you gave is Corsair is Rank 5 right? So I can’t do Sword - High2 - Corsair2, which is why I did High3-Corsair2. Which would be a better class to end with for dual class? Corsair or Fencer?
Oh another question, do we get other options for Cata’s mount? Or is it fixed.
Then go with either Hoplite or Cata. Really, you have only two choices here.
Barb goes well with Doppel, but so does Highlander. You must also choose here as well.
Damn, I always forget about this. Consider High2 - Hop2 - Corsair2, then. Or the second option. Shinobi of all classes should actually work pretty well with these combinations. And I think Corsair would be better.

I’m considering Shinobi as well. But what rank does Shinobi comes in? Rank 7?
I mean the mount? I really don’t like what he is riding on. It’s just me being picky lol but I’m guessing this is fixed.
And I even get bothered by the left hand use of sword when using sword and shield. That’s why I’m not going into tanking.
