Question about the Penguin PDEF MDEF buff

Hi Minoru here… I would like to know some things about the new pet and its buff… Here it goes:

1 Just would like to know how much PDEF and MDEF does the “Penguin Owner” buff give? Is it dependent to its level?

2 Does the buff count towards the max buff count? and

3 Does it work even when unmounted (as the description only said if the squeaky pet is near and I saw it on a partymate while “boss rushing”)?

Please help I would really love to know before I decide to buy this cute… squeaky… thing… Thanks

  1. I believe it gave me 30 def and mdef when I first summoned it, but I haven’t checked if it scales up with its level.

  2. The buff is on the 2nd row so it doesn’t count toward buff limit.

  3. Yes it works even when unmounted.

and when you press the button hit, you dismount automatically losing the buff to be mounted … it should be well or a bug?

Looks like the mount ability for original non riders is meant for plain traveling and I do know that when you hit or become hit you will auto dismount… Fair enough if you ask me…
