Question about Ranger+Fletcher

That bit’s of extra atk dps isn’t doing much in fletcher spams. Except magic arrow ^^.

Steady aim i in my build too, circle 1+ attribute is alot already.

But it works wonders with x hit skills, the more the better (multishot 16=godlike bonus dps early. Together with aoe ratio… op xD.).
But it isn’t really felt anyore when you have 2k+ base skil atk, except for the 25 hit count magic arrow.
Or Ultraspammy Crossfire usage on large mobs.

– Edit: just checked it … they change steady aim from a flat bonus to a % rate…
WTF! HOW AM I GONNA BUILD NOW q.q!
EVERYONE WILL BE RANGER C3 …
45% flat increase is … is … way to op. For a circle 4 maxed skill…

I was going to point out the change, because I was like ‘‘What, is this guy up to date?’’.
I tell you, that’s made for Fletcher.

And the term is RANK4, Circles are closed to classes, why does everyone just mix the terms ¬¬-

I love to mix them.

But yeah.

This just killed my build xD.
The thing is … luckily it doesn’t increase the skill atk. Just your own atk.
So even if i decide to skip on two “ranks” and lose out on 30% bonus atk.

At that level it would be … 300~400 base atk. (fletcher end rank).

It’s hard to decide now … going rank 3 rRanger… ha sbounce shot and spiral shot, which are better then rank 2 and 3 archer… Solo target wise. But with the rght item build multishot… is just godlike still.

But then again… i have corssfire and magic arrow against crowds…

AHAAHAHAHAHHA!!

…back to planning board. And i bet i will need to reajust that a few times till icbt3 or obt xD.
Archer 2 … then 2 ranks of ranger, fletcher 2ranks or 3 … then rangar for another 15% buff and bounce.

… The bonus of bounce is better then Crossfire… but then again bounce only hit’s a number of targets. Crossfire all… AAUurrgg!!

WHY GOD DAMMIT WHY!

Didn’t the koreans qq about Archer being already to op xD!
The build i hat from icbt2 … is now death…

iirc the new Steady Aim is a post skill bonus modifier, aka it adds all up together.

What did you even play lol.

q.q WTF!

…okay im done with building anything till we get icbt or obt…

I played Archer>ranger>Archer>Archer>fletche>xx
And some other comibnations.

But heck… atm if you want to build for max dps (which i wanted to do, because it’s easy to farm stuff for fun classes then.) … but now max dps in archer three, ALWAYS requires you to go rank 3 ranger xD.

WILL we SEE anythign EXCEPT Rangers …
If all skills scale on that at the end… it’s incredible op.

We already we’re the best solo dps in icbt2 … got buffed in ktos realese.
Now overbuffed xD.

Ohh Ohhh … i’m gonna not look at patch notes from now on… ever. Till we get to play again… a few days prior maybe.

Well, depends if you want sustained or burst DPS, it’s all up to hat you want and how much money you have at your disposal.
The thing with Archers is that they are hard to play and build well optimally, so we could see high ammount of them but 2/10 will actually be capable of dishing out the Max DPS oft heir style so it’s alright.

True… … one of the reason it got buffed so heaviyl past icbt2.

I already killed flying type bosses in under the cd of multishot … 2 multi charges+ a few obliques… death 90 dungeon boss.
People with google eyes where disbelieving the dps they saw… then.

Thanks for all the input guys, I edited the build. Guess it’s better now.

Reasons I didn’t include Broadhead at first were that not every boss is bleedable, and bleeding usually scales with STR witch I’ll have much lower than DEX. And having a “reduce 80% armor instant shot” seemed really nice. But after reading Singijeon again, it’s actually a lot of damage and cooldown is not that high.

Changes:

Dropped Multi Shot to max FullDraw and Oblique Shot
Reduced Bodkin Point to 1 to max Singijeon and raise Broadhead to 9

Linking it again:

I got exactly this build on KOBT and my character is actually lvl 183

1- You’ll need 17~20 lvl 10 mana pots each dungeon to do something (Or use basic attacks and let your team carry you… so you’ll need only 8 mana pots)

2- Steady Aim is not as good as you think: Expensive mana cost, 15 seconds effect and 25 secs CD that will become 36 secs because you’ll wait for Spiral Arrow cd once its your best skill. The skill animation in each use will ■■■■ your positioning and your damage. 95% of fights you’ll lose 3~4 seconds to dodge boss spell with your miss positioning caused by Steady Aim’s animation.

3- Bounce Shot/Barrage >>>> Cross Fire: I got lvl 9 cross fire and its mana cost/after cast delay makes much better use Barrage/Bounce Shot with melee range. But this skill is still worthy if you use one time for burn status.

4- Spiral Arrow/Multishot > Barbed Arrow: With lvl 10 Barbed Arrow, the damage was almost the same, but use 2 Spiral Arrows and 2 Multishots uses less mana than 6~7 Barbed Arrows. Ground bosses are mostly Leather/Plate users and flying bosses that uses cloth are 85% ghosts, so Barbed Arrow’s potential goes down in dungeons. Another point here is the after cast delay of Fletcher’s skills, you can’t cast them moving like Heavy Shot/Oblique Shot/Critical Shot, so you’ll need to be really carefull when fighting bosses/great mobs.

5- You’ll use a good Bow or a nice Xbow with Arde Dagger, tons of SP potion to be usefull in party and while you run for your life dying in 1 boss spell, some QS will outdamage you with Ice Damage Shield and +3 Grand Cross attacking from far enough to avoid bosses’ skills.

I’m creating a QS now, may i’ll try QS 3 > Fletcher 3 with Broadhead/Magic Arrow for tons of DPS with 20s bleed/25 attacks, or maybe the popular QS 3 > Archer 3. I’m 49 right now, when I get 180~200 I tell you if it was effective.

Oh nononono, you don’t want that, look you want crits but you are HEAVILY missing out in damage with that and nnot getting the best out of steady aim.
If you do want to get steady crits a 2:1 spread would be nice I guess, you could just go for the 1:1 if you feel like it too I guess.

Look, DEX is great at early game yes, but then it becomes less and less relevant as it goes on because crits are ncie and all but STR is what gives you crit damage, STR also gets a 10% with each rank meaning investment on it will be more noticeable as time goes on you seee.

So what you’re saying is that Ranger C3 already has enough offensive skills to take full advantage of Steady Aim, and Fletchers’ skills are more situational? I didn’t realize how much SP steady aim takes. Makes me feel like Ranger C3 is more of a PvP class instead of grind (QS).

For pvp you only need scout 1 > musketeer. Snipe with 50% bonus damage from invisibility attribute is enough to kill leather/cloth users. You can also use hunter’s curse to reduce plate user’s defense and get some ccs. Fletcher is not worth for pvp or pve comparing to other archer classes. Its sad but true, I like fletcher mechanics too and maybe with some buffs/nerfs it becomes viable.

Atm.

I wouldn’t use barbed shot for dungeoning or bossfighting.
But it’s the best cloth armor killer, after snipe and headshot.

Most of the Fletcher complains there fall under ‘‘Git Gud’’ to be blunt about it honestly.

If they just make Fletcher’s skills like Oblique Shot/Heavy Arrow/Critical Arrow where you can move while firing with relative low animation CD, would be an amazing class.

And with a lower Steady Aim’s animation, Ranger would have much more acceptability in classes combos.

The 50% bonus damage is only from physical attack, not whole damage.

Eh? It does not have anything to do with plate. Def reduction is so small, the good things are the cc & damage.

It sounds sad, but I don’t believe it’s true based solely on your explanation. Especially when you are saying that Multishot (a skill which is cancelable, has casting time, cooldown, almost no skill damage) > Barbed arrow–or Bodkin point? (0 cd, 2k enhanceable skill damage at max level).

P.S.: The thread is asking for the whole PvP and PvE contexts, which I assume it is talking in the sense of the whole game until the late gameplay, not limited to some dungeons consideration.

P.P.S.: last time I played in a local test server (after iCBT), it seemed that we were not actually meant to move while using oblique shot (very low ping, shot came out instantly and character couldn’t move). In iCBT/kOBT, I assume we are moving while shooting because there is some kind of delay which makes the attack slower to come.

Any source/proof?

Nah I was wrong, forgot to edit.
It’s to the Skill damage… I think?
Good lord the infos clash a lot.

I’m planning the same class path. I just want to ask since I haven’t been playing in the kTOS server, what weapon do most ranger/fletcher use now, is it xbow + dagger or 2hand bow?

Any comments or tips on my planned build would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

every archer if not Rogue, Muskeer and Cannoneer
best to use Xbow+Mana mana
