Question about magic damage

Cloth Mastery, 3-piece bonus: +10 SP per Level
Cloth Mastery, 4-piece bonus: +0.5 Magic Defense per Level
Leather Mastery, 3-piece bonus: +1 Evasion per Level
Leather Mastery, 4-piece bonus: +0.5 Evasion per level
Plate Mastery, 3-piece bonus: +34 HP per Level
Plate Mastery, 4-piece bonus: +0.2 Stamina per Level

This is what i found on the internet and, if it’s true, i have questions…

Having 50 levels maximum, 4 pieces…
1700 health (plate) vs 25 magic resist (cloth). What is more worth when facing mages in pvp/pve? Is 25 magic resist a lot, or you can just go 1700 health to be nearly the same (or even better), taking into account that the health will work also against physical?

PD: Realised you get 15% magic damage reduction, also magic resistance from top and pants that can reach together 50 more, so i think it can be better than goin PLATE for 1700 health… im right?

Keep in mind Cloth also has inherent Magic Defense that Plate does not.
The same goes for HP from Plate, which Cloth doesn’t provide.
It’ll depend on the set itself.

The attributes are all very poor to the point that you can disregard em entirely.
Let’s not forget level 50 takes 25 hours of non-stop leveling the attribute…

And the money it takes! At least the 15% magic reduction and magic defense from cloth it’s worth from the beggining. only the 25 extra from lvl50 is lost.

But what’s better? If you go full plate against a mage, will that 1700 health make u survive longer than goin full cloth?

Even with that… 1700 health means level 50… so it’s virtually impossible. Maybe it’s better to stick with cloth

Hopefully the choice in gear will most likely land on the situation itself.

I would love to see some real theorycrafting data on this subject, not just assumptions.

What does that mean? Do you mean you can have different gear according to the situation?

For example for PVP… at least i could have 4 leather or plate pieces when i duel an archer or swordsman, and cloth when i duel a wizard and… i don’t know cleric’s damage, mixture? It’s… yea, it’s 5 seconds changing equipment, and it’s worth… cause except maybe cleric, one class deals only one type of damage. I never though about that fast equipment swap…

But for dungeons and those things OTHER than a duel… well, i could also fast-swap my gear… now i hate i sold all my other gear xD Maybe i can recover it from the store

PD: I chose to go Plate set for duels against swordsman and archers, and clothe otherwise (cause bosses and normal enemies do magic damage also, but swordsman and archers in duels DOESNT), plate because i get 15% damage reduction and a lot of armor to compensate for my gung ho. Not leather cause… the dodge is nice, but you need lvl50, what i won’t get, so now the decision is obvious

@player_great

Yes, that is what I am refeering to.
