Yesterday i put 2 gems lvl 2 on a staff and today i removed them at blacksmith and they lvl 1 again. It’s a bug or it work like this?

When u remove the gem from the equipment, it will reduce 1 level of the gem.

when you go to remove a gem the first time or everytime (cant remember) the blacksmith tells you they will lvl down just read what the npcs tell you. the information is there.
