Question about Bokor Skills

I need help about the skills of Bokor.

  1. About Zombify skill, is this only activated when you kill monsters? Can you still use this in PvP arena or in areas where there are no monsters to kill?

  2. Once you have summoned all zombies, can you keep them permanently if they won’t get killed? Is there a duration for the zombies?

  3. Is there an effect if I choose Zombify: Large Zombie or Wheelchair Zombie?

  4. Is Macangdal skill can only be used in allies? Can you use it to yourself?

  1. Zombify puts down a magic circle similar to krivis’s Zalciai. The circle debuffs all enemies within it (Including enemies in pvp or those traps that bosses summon). Killing the debuffed enemies will turn them into zombies.

  2. Zombies slowly decay (hp drains). As for an actual timer on them I am not sure.

  3. Large zombie has a % chance to turn elite mobs you zombify into a “Large Zombie”. (Think of it as an elite zombie)
Wheelchair Zombie has a % chance to turn enemies you zombify into literal zombies on F***ing wheelchairs… (Think of the normal zombies on NOS)

  4. Yes it can be used on anybody, including yourself. (Not sure if can be used on enemies)

Thanks for your reply.

It should also be said that since zombie’s have their HP draining, to make them last longer is to have a lot of SPR+Samediveve. Since zombie HP also scales with SPR.

Yes thanks for that tip.

By the way, can I use effigy without hexing?

Pretty sure Effigy says the target has to be cursed for it to work. Not sure if it works for all curses in the game though, or maybe if it just specially works with Hexing only.

I saw somewhere on the forums that only your registered curse works. So if you don’t hex yourself then it wont work. This could be a bug and probably could have been fixed, but to err on the side of caution just assume only your hexing can counts for effigy. Of course until you test it.

Is it better for both pvp and pve to max your Zombify?

Whats the difference in terms of effect of Large Zombie and Wheelchair Zombie? Does large zombie has better damage? What would you prefer? Damage or Speed?

Is Damballa effective in PvP?

Is it a good choice to combo Revenged Sevenfold with Effigy?

It’s rare to get zombies going in PvP, as well as they aren’t that usefull. You would more than likely focus on using hexing and effigy more often.
For PvE, by themselves zombies are “Ok” but are stronger in numbers because they are slow.
Well Large Zombies do more damage. Honestly it doesn’t matter which you preference you like because at the end of it all when you’re high level and have the money, you will have both attributes maxed anyway.

I myself have not played with Damballa, so I rather not give you false info. Heres a video of damballa in action:

Combo Revenged Sevenfold with Effigy? What do you mean?

I can confirm from icbt2 that effigy on non cursed enemies doesn’t work, but didn’t test it with other people’s curses.

See:

But basically hexing is still the best way to apply curse. The kabbalist attribute is only a 30% chance.

I mean apply Hexing first, then Revenged Sevenfold skill then Effigy. That way you can boost damage of Effigy 7x the attack of the enemy.

Not sure it stacks, but if it does R.I.P magic defense :biohazard:

Allies only. This includes Summons.

Neither. I used to be Pro-Zombify with it being at 15 for getting the max use out of Damballa, but it’s unnecessary unless your intention is a Support-Summoner build that has the ability to keep all of them alive. This would require Priest C2 minimum, and once you hit Post-Lvl220 3-star maps, it’s going to be very difficult to keep 19 Zombies up. Damballa triggers 15 times or 18 times with the Damballa Gem, Zombies have a chance of respawning with full health after dying from Damballa (Without the Attribute), so it doesn’t need full investment in your case.

Wheelchair Zombie adds 5 seconds to the cooldown of Zombify and you’ll only have the Large Zombie Attribute enabled when you’re ready to make one, so if you want to always have it available to you, leave Zombify at 11. You’ll have 15 Zombies Max under normal circumstances, and you’ll be able to pull off most/all of Zombify’s explosions at once with it.

Sure, if you can get lucky enough to summon Zombies to use it. That’s a big If. Spectating 5v5 Arena in kToS, I’ve only seen Zombies summoned by a Bokor once there. Off of traps. It’s really not such a rare opportunity, it’s just that they don’t even attempt it. Which is such a shame, because if you have a good computer, summoning 15 Zombies off of an Archers Caltrops can potentially drop your opponents FPS down by 10-15 and you gain the option to hit an enemy for 3k-45k and knock them back at the same time. Well, regardless of the difficulties, I’ll be giving it a go once I hit Bokor C3 here because ping prevented me from playing Arena over there.

Large Zombie: Tankier, AoE attack, Slower movement.
Wheelchair Zombie: Faster movement, Strike-Property attack, doesn’t pick up Tet Mamak La skull when touching it.

Preferences:
Normal Zombie: Dungeons (Damballa), when I’m lazy.
Wheelchair Zombie: Tet Mamak La spamming outside of dungeons.
Large Zombie: Enclosed-space grinding when I’m lazy.

That won’t work.

Thanks for the answers. I guess, bokor is so useless in pvp unless they change zombify skill that it can summon zombies even without someone to kill.

Someone said Macangdal can be used to self. Which is the correct answer? Can it really be used on yourself or just to allies?

Not useless; Hexing and Effigy does wonders, and it’s not like it ends at Bokor C3. You’ve still got 2 ranks after that to use. Summoning Zombies though, yeah, that’s not something commonly pulled off.

Both yourself and your allies. Dunno why, but I read your sentence up there as this:

Oh okay. Thats a relief now that it’s clear that Macangdal can be used on yourself. I just have the perfect combo for it.
