Question about barbarian 2nd circle

Hello everyone, i’m lv 82 at second circle of barbarian and the problem is that i dont know if its worth to level up ‘‘Frenzy’’, instead of have ‘‘Cleave’’ and ‘‘Helm Chopper’’ both at lv 10.

Frenzy only works with the same target, the only point of level it up imo is if you want to do only PVE and use it with bosses, (in my case I prefeer doing both, PVE and PVP)

Warcry its ok, because it can be usefull everytime.

Then, if its worth to level up ‘‘Frenzy’’. What skill should I level up to 10, Helm Chopper or Cleave?

What class are you planning to take after barb2?

Frenzy is worth it if you are taking Barb 3, leaving your helm chopper on a lower level.

I stopped at barb 2 and left frenzy at 0, leaving me at 5 Seism/5 Warcry/10 Helm Chop and 10 Cleave.

If that’s the case you should consider taking frenzy, it’s quite easy to stack up damage with DWA+Low ping.

you will lose out some damage on helm chopper but you can always cover it up with attributes+your frenzy. You keep your frenzy stacks as long as you don’t auto attack, so that boosts your helm chopper too.

A sample rotation on bosses would be:
Use all your offensive skills > Use DWA filler+Frenzy > your skills will probably be ready > burst again. Or you can always start with frenzy DWA

mmm ok, but there is still the problem of hitting other enemies with normal attack. Its only a skill for bosses then?

Sadly yeah, but if you are something like a fencer with 0 cooldown skills it’s a lot useful.

and with barb 3, frenzy lv 10+keeping frenzy stacks attribute, your frenzy is still better than frenzy lv 5 even with only half the stacks on your frenzy 10.

you can skip it if you want, I don’t like auto attacking often too because as a fencer I hardly do that, with corsair dwa it should be easier for you, but in the end, still your preference, because helm chopper is still a very nice strike type damage with a lot of aoe attack ratio so both choices aren’t bad

so, splash hitting with some skills wont remove Frenzy’s stacks? :confused:

with the Barb C3 Attribute, sure (for normal attacks).

for skills, you keep them

you can check some vids about frenzy on youtube, you are safe as long as you don’t accidentally auto attack something

I would go Barbarian C3 and Corsair C2, it’ll probably be better for DWA.

Sure, at level 9, it has no downtime, but at level 5 it lasts for 44 seconds. With a cooldown of 52 seconds those 8 seconds of downtime’ll not make that much of a difference.

But it depends if you’re going to make a more skill oriented build. In my opinion Hexen Dropper is the biggest burst damage at all swordsman tree.
