-Q: How to be a good Tos player? -A: good at math and experimenting

Dam n, I feel like I’m the only one who bad at math playing this game. They even made chart for everything, calculate stuffs, etc…All of them seems to hurt my head when I’m reading it

… Not really.
You mostly need common sense. And if you’re bad at math, you can just test stuff yourself.
Most people don’t calculate based on attack, enemy’s defense, multiplier, or skill formulas. They just go “Oh, it scales well with that stat ? Then I should use it”.

If you want to be OP without experimenting or calculating AT ALL, then I’d say a lot of MMOs aren’t for you. Or maybe you should just accept you’re super casual and don’t expect too much from your characters ?
Most MMOs anyway require you to test things out a minimum. Being strong by just pumping stats randomly, choosing your skills/classes randomly isn’t really part of MMOs (At least good ones. I know there are some where you basically just need to keep upgrading without putting any thoughts.)

The whole fun of the game to me is customizing your classes and trying to pull off the best out of your build.

Some people enjoy making structures and art stuff in Minecraft. Others just enjoy maximizing their builds and having fun thinking/comparing them. It’s kinda like The Sims but in a different way (you customize builds, not houses).

The game does not force you in any way to be a “hardcore build thinker”. The combat patch proved that once they made most of game content much easier than before. If you don’t enjoy this math stuff, just play with whatever you like and have fun.

seriously, I feel like this when reading them

If I look at most of the math used ingame my head hurts because the formulas are so bad.
