Should I still invest in 2pract Rod (HOG) or should I just wait for the new Legendary(red) HG Rod?
Seeing as the new HG rod has better matk than HOG and both of them has the same number of gem slots the only con on the HG weapons is its random stats but it can still out shines HOG since so far the highest I’ve seen was a +34 Str. What do you guys think specially kTOS players?
invest on trans because you only lose out 10% of gems. Getting over upgraded weapons were always cancerous when you actually have to choose between your gems or +16 weapon on the end. Lols. Goodluck and dream on!
My only tip: SAVE THE GEMS!

The new weapons are better, there may be very specific exceptions like the Emengard shield, but even then the new HG shield offers more PDEF and can be used more offensively. In general, the new Orange weapons are better than current ones, always compare them still.
For the rods, it pretty firmly favours the new Orange. Even at mid tier investment, say +11 Trans 5 for both, the 350 rod leads by more than 100 MATK and that’s including the HoG’s substats and not the random stats from the 350 Orange. Factor in higher Transcendence, higher enhancement, higher awakening, and random stats and the winner is clearly the 350.
The update likely won’t be coming to ITOS for a while, so investing in a current Orange won’t be a bad idea, and depending on your current funding and situation may make it an even more viable option. Additionally, an Orange weapon will help you in obtaining the new equipment, and allow you to begin most of the new content too.
