[PVP] - The Royal Mausoleum - Orsha's PvP Discussion Thread

Since there isn’t a subsection we can at least have some form of discussion here.

Does Orsha have an established map for dueling? We should start designating an area. If we can get a thriving community online I would be down with getting others and donating prizes for 1 vs 1 tournaments.

So to start us out for the current topic. Let’s talk class and skill balance. Some of know that there are currently some broken spells (cough ice wall cough). Let’s start putting a list of skills that seem or feel op. Keep it constructive. It would also be nice to hear from people who use these skills and their thoughts on why it is or isn’t broken and how it could be improved.

I think one big thing that would help in most cases is pet AI. Hunter’s are have a serious lack of oomph due to their pet just running all willy nilly. As a Cataphract there is absolutely no threat from any pet in the game. I believe a movement speed buff and the ability to have a secondary command bar (stop, follow, hostile, attack target) would greatly improve this lack of power. Bonus points if you can some how add increased effects for your pet based on the acquaintance system.

Anyone around able to elaborate on the mechanics of the falcon during duels?

Is the AI as bad as other pets?

What is the Falcons movement speed / AI like? In RO you had your falcon above you and around but it had actual distance to travel. The falcon was more of an attack modifier to yours (+ some activated skills) that when procced would have the Falcon do an animation but the attack was instantaneous.

Anyhow. My team name is CardParty. Add me. I’m always down to learn more about pvp. Also, is 2v2 and 5v5 happening yet? It’s never up when I go to the Team Battle League guy.

Needs to be a map that is “easily” accessible while having a good spot for people to sit and another spot that is maybe circular or more open so people have room to run.

Ideally it has mobs that aren’t a distraction (no sleep, lethargy etc) and are on a slower spawn.

Maybe one of the passage routes?
