PvP Tanky Squire viable?

Hey guys,
I’m planning on playing PvP essentially and I liked the idea of a Squire in PvP.
I am currently Sword>Pelt 2>Rode and planning on going Squire C3.
I thought : if I have to spend 3 ranks in squire, better make it a tank with cc because if I go dps before squire my damage will be subpar endgame.

I think pelt can give me enough mechanics to be virtually invincible against physical damages (guard, guardian with good amount of DEX, high guard, swash buckling attribute with good amount of CON)
and I chose rodeleiro C1 instead of Pelt c3 because Rod has a lot of soft and hard cc (blind, unbalance, stun, knockdown…) and Pelt 3 basically just has more damage (which will be useless endgame).

Now I planned on going lv15 Arrest because I’d think it could be awesome in GvG or any big scale PvP (not arena that is) for its CC and attribute potential; and max resplenishment table/weapon buff to be a good asset in any team.

How good could this tank/cc/utility build be in PvP events ? (not arena)
I’m really looking for thoughts on this =)

Thanks

I’m not fond to swordsman builds but I think pelt C3 is better than pelt C2 - Rode C1 due to a single skill: Umbo Thrust.

Arrest is stupidly decent :stuck_out_tongue:

I totally see how Umbo thrust is a really good skill, but I don’t really see how it can beat having a stun+slow, a charge+knockback, a blind, an interrupting unbalance, and an interrupting cc which makes the target face the opposite direction.
Is having 1 skill with a “strip armor effect” chance worth losing 5 Pvp-interesting cc skills ?

C’mon, no other thoughts ? :<
there’s almost no pvp squire thread down there i’m sure you have opinions

Well…because squire is a merchant…Corsair does pretty much the same thing but as a DPS class.

Yeap but corsair’s hook doesn’t halve up to 15 people’s physical defense for ten seconds ! ^^ and the refreshment table seems like a nice overall booster as well
