Good night, I’d like to know is a possibility to add a pvp / pk system. A way to fight battles or murder people on an open map without having to be in an arena? What do you think about it?
IMO this would be a bad idea with the game as it is now—low population and performance issues won’t make it fun. Not to mention the drama that will sprout from it.
For me it would be nice if there is a rotation of pk maps. You see, if the map have a red star that would mean that the map is pvp open. @.@

I think it’ll be a bad idea, because it’ll probably result in overgeared players harassing less geared players or players with lower level “for the lulz”.
Any open world PK system where you have to count on the decency and fair play of other players (like “ok, i killed that low level noob 3 times, i’ll leave him alone now and look for an actual challenge”) will fail in most modern MMOs because nowadays for too many people it is enjoyable to make the game experience as miserable as possible for others and they enjoy it when they make other people “ragequit” by camping a spot for hours for the sole purpose of not allowing weaker players to play properly.
Especially in a game with a “linear corridor open world” like TOS has, aka a world where you don’t really have a choice where you have to go next to get the next quests, it can end up very badly because it’d be so much easier to block progress leveling and questing progress for weaker players.
With players crashing channels and cheating at an exrteme level to get their stupidly overgeared stuff, would you really trust these guys to behave properly when you activate a PK system in the open world?
Tibia online is a free pvp mmo, you are not safe even in towns.
If you kills to many players for no reason you get at first a red skull and then a black skull.
I dont remember what this does exactely, but if you die for other player with this red/black status you recive a huge debuff in your character after reviveing. Drops all your equipment and loses base lv.
Hm… there are bunus for players who hunt down pk players.

@Sayurichan To bring this pvp world to tos, first we need 10s of immunity after crossing a map. And a new warp crystal, that can teleport us to somewhere randomly inside that map.
Bring it on, pks!
Cross server war would be good. Klaipeda vs Telsia vs Varena etc. Once every week in a huge map.
Or add PVP server where everybody could join. Fellow server will be your teammates vs other servers.
Some official servers of Ragnarok had this.
Imagine being a newbie, then you go to your job change quest, tells you to gather some mats, you go to the map, the map is PK, high leveled players who are power tripping just continue on killing newbies like you.
Sounds fun, right?
It’s funny because it’s just art coping reality.

New players would do just like that in such a situation:
i rather have them implent pk ares with unique monster farm and new resources, imagine being able to log trees, forage herbs for alchemist potions and mine minerals for crafting.
they could possibly use that area for rank 9 class unlocks as well
unfortunately this is all unlikely to happen, i just wish we could have something like war of emperium in ragnarok, if only guild battles weren’t so crappy lol…

Only foolish players ask for pvp on an open map. The reasons are these:
1- Maps are made to evolve characters, so players of higher level and better equipment will take advantage of this situation to disrupt players who are still evolving.
2 - A pvp arena is the appropriate place for this. For only players who are already with their final equipment or next to it go to the for this purpose. Thus, they do not harm those who are not ready for a player-to-player duel.
3 - OK on map disrupts the farm. Many times the player is joining money looking for monsters on the map that give him good items to make money.
These are only 3 reasons but there are many others that I could write here. Only geeks and noobs like PK because they do not kill anyone in the pvp arenas and want to do this with players who are unbalanced and low level. NO TO THE PK ON THE MAPS "
or just have a room you can enter and everyone can free for all? 24/7
You are not reading right, I said PVP mode could be turned off and on, so the player would not be killed doing their map missions unless he wanted to enter PVP mode, MODE, OPTION, NO MAP
A PK mode sounds good. Kill another player who is not flagged and you gain infamy.

During in-fame you cannot gain drops / exp / loot for 24 hours.

If you’re killed during this you lose 10% of your silver, bank included.

All of your characters are flagged.

If you’re killed during this all your armor loses 1 potential.

If you’re killed during this you drop all your gems.

If you’re killed during this you have a 50% chance to drop one of your boss cards that are equipped.

You can be killed anywhere, even in towns by anyone.
If another flagged player kills you, you lose nothing though.
Just implement pvp rooms like in RO, where you enter Klaipeda, Orsha, or Fedimian as its own PK map and have fun.

Although I’d love to see PK maps, even hardcore ones, like dropping equipment etc. (Squire c3 buff become useful at least/also remember that blacksmith skill from rag: Hilt Binding), I must say that tos has enough drama with oracle and necro crap in dinabee, this will turn the game into a mess.
make it like division darkzone pvp, create few exclusive map for pvp, farm exclusive goods from it, free to kill anybody inside those map
