Ok its all well and good to have a system in place for pvp so theres not just a bunch of murder going on, but when someone accepts a friendly duel they should not be allowed to use a scroll to leave or combat log which is what I’m seeing a lot of. People accept the duel, realize i deal a metric shizload of raw damage and they either run off the board, log off, or use a scroll to get back to town. It would also be nice to see rewards for winning duels. Right now there isn’t even a way to track your wins/losses so it seems kind of moot to have it in if it means nothing or gets you nothing
I’ve never, ever, seen a game give rewards for dueling. For that, there are BGs and such.
Well … It’s called ‘‘Friendly Duel’’ it’s not really there to be able to gain anything from it… Like i_Hub said BGs will be there for that’s. But there is definetely not reason to teleport or log-off if you are about to loose lol Oo
Why would people even run away in the first place?
I have no idea what a “BG” is so you lost me there. really would like to see at least a score being kept on win/loss counts. and the moving out of the area while dueling is really an annoyance since its happened in quite a few matches and I get screwed on my feeling of satisfaction when their toon hits the ground like a bag of potatoes(which at this point is the only joy in the “pvp”). I dont get why they are running either, it could be that my zerker deals around 8k dmg on my ability cartar strokes usually.
fenix, ever heard of a friendly wager? i think that would be agreeable, that way both people can decide on a wager and duke it out
then it should be between the 2 players. no mechanic would be needed for that. loser pays
well if people cant be trusted to stick around to fight what makes you think they will stick around to pay? obviously a menu that took your wager and gave it to the winner would work best. Which would still require the devs to code that in. At the very least make it so they cant run till ive knocked them out
Well if you pay the reward from your own pocket got for it … For sure you will never see me give anything if i loose lol
